Most Christians believe in him simply because they are told to, Now I wont say that he didn't exist BUT! after being a Catholic for over 60 years I found that common sense and logic was not a strong point for a lot of Christians, and unfortunately continues to grow, I have come to the conclusion that there is no true answer to all of this, and it will be only when we die that we will find out for sure.

I am not a Christian...but I used to be. I think it is because that is what you are taught, and there is comfort in familiarity. That is a big part of what religion is for. To find solace when you need it.
When you are taught something, it usually sticks with you. For example, I still pray to St. Anthony whenever I lose something, St. Christopher when I fly, etc. It might not make sense, but it comforts me.
How many Christians (or people of any other religion) can truly say that if they had been born to some other culture that they would still be Christian? If your parents are Muslim, chances are, you are too.
It takes courage to examine the belief system that you have been taught and are expected to follow and decide for yourself if that is truly what you believe. Spirituality is a journey. If you end up the same place you started, it should be because you have walked in a circle, not because you have stood still.

The entirety of the bible is to show God's design and purpose for all of us. God has always wanted a relationship with people. On our own, we are not able to establish a relationship because we are not holy like God. He is the one who decides who He is; we do not have the right to make God any way we want. He made us, not the other way around. We are separated from God by our unholiness, our imperfect actions, and selfishness. Once we recognize the true nature of God we can begin to understand the importance of Jesus. The essence of Christian belief is that we believe in Someone greater than ourselves for our salvation. Only God can set the standard as to who gets to heaven or not. The "standard" is Jesus. When we understand why it is necessary to believe in Jesus as our salvation then our choice becomes whether to follow Him or go our own way. He said that whoever believes in Him and is baptized will be saved. He wants us to be with Him in heaven and He wants us to use our lives to show others that He is alive.

To believe in Jesus means that you accept what He said as the truth. If what Jesus said is the truth, and truths are verifiable, then it would mean that those who believe in Jesus are ruled by reason. What is reason? Reason is the truth. What is truth? Man's truth or God's truth? Since God's truths do not change because of new knowledge, social acceptance or the current political environment I will go with God's truths, they are not only true they are consistently true.
According to Jesus own testimony He came to this world to testify to the truth. Either you believe what Jesus said as the truth or you don't. To be consistent you have to accept that everything Jesus said is the truth or reject all of it. To pick and choose what you are willing to accept as truth has no integrity.
I choose to believe that Jesus is who He claims that He is. As a result of making the choice to stand on and stand up for what I believe to be true my belief in Jesus was transformed into faith in Jesus. Faith is the bridge between what we cannot see and what we are able to verify with our senses. Faith is a substance, faith is a thing. Our faith is the evidence, the proof of what we cannot see, what we believe to be true. Faith brings the intangible in to the tangible, the spiritual into the physical. I have been able to verify to my physical senses the reality and truth of what I believed to be true about Jesus. The result is that what I believed to be true has been changed from a concept, idea or belief system into a tangible verifiable truth.
The verifiable truth is that I believe in Jesus today becuase I know Jesus in person, not just to know about Him.

He's the best fit for Hebrew prophecy there is, His Church has survived despite numerous obstacles, as prophecied, and I've developed a personal relationship with Him. Would you disbelieve in your boss at work? It's the relationship that counts for me. Living forever in Heaven is just a bonus.

I believe in Jesus because he is real. The other day I was accosted by some religious folk who were going door to door. They asked me if I were to die right now, would I go to heaven. I answered no, because I do not believe Heaven exists. They then asked if I believed in Jesus, I responded, without a doubt. They said how can you believe in Jesus but not in Heaven. I responded, why do I need to believe in heaven because I believe in Jesus? I basically told them I am down for Jesus and my loyalty to him requires nothing in return.

Jesus changed my bitterness into forgiveness and love. He came into my life with hope and took the guilt and self-hatred away. He changed my heart and my mind and me.

...He died for me.
The least he deserves is that I live for him.
He saved me, and I didn't deserve it. He gave me free will, and loves me even though he sees my sin.
I don't regret getting saved.
