First off Evolution is a "Theory" it has not been proven! And there is no such law commanding christian schools to teach it. Dont listen to these people who claim to have scientific answers the got off the net, They should lean some physics and genetic history before they jump to conclusions about their precious explanation. There is a difference between adaptation and evolution, one exist the other doesn't. Genetic researchers have found no missing link! No half monkey half man skeleton! All fossils that look somewhat like men with a monkey skull that have been found are completely different species than Homo sapiens, Their genetic material does not and will not ever match. Genetisist have proven that Homosapien DNA while close to some primates contains billions of strands of genetic material not found in any other species. In conclusion we were THEN as we are NOW. Newton's 3rd law of physics states : Everything goes from an ordered to a disordered state, you clean your room it gets messy again, it doesnt get cleaner as time goes on. Evolution is a nice theory, but thats all it is. And yes Humans are more disordered now than we were before, the history of man proves it from creation, and just because we have modern technology and science doesn't prove evolution it proves our ability to learn and ADAPT!

Evolution is a scientific study of how life came to be what it is now and where it might go. Creationism teaches that a Higher Power created all things as they are right now. Now, in Evolution, scientists are always coming up with new theories or support for theories... or even evidence that debunks theories. For Creationism you would have to be able to Prove which God or Goddess Created. Just saying "My God did it..." is not proof. Nor are writings. Religious schools can teach it, since that is part of that Religion. Public schools are not allowed to teach Religious ideas as Fact... because first you would have to Prove "God" (singular, plural, either gender or no gender) actually exists.... and no one has been able to Prove it in the same way Science proves certain things.

Well first if someone calls a Christian school "closed minded" based on their teachings in Science class, they do this because they are ill-advised and do not know the reality.

Public schools are not "closed minded." They teach Evolution. They do not forbid religious beliefs. When I was in High School at my Public School we discussed the creation theory as well.

Because creationism isn't science?

I bet evolution isn't taught properly in christian schools - I know I've never met a creationist who understood evolution. They come on here and say 'I don't believe we came from random chances' or 'from monkeys'

They're ignorant. If they were really open minded they'd teach all creation myths, not just the christian one but do they? No. If you're got a limited amount of time why not focus on real science and leave fairytales for another time.

Christian schools are trying to convince and teach their young followers that evolution is compatible with Christianity. Adaptation is the game they are playing to insure their faith is genuine. Public schools are based on logic and reasoning thus has no room for the supernatural! If you teach Christianity in public schools, mind as well teach Islam,Hinduism,Buddhism,Shinto, and many other religions other than yours.

And I'm sure the Christian schools don't teach them in a unbiased way eh?

It is because they are not equal. Your creation Christian stories came directly from older religions teachings, and there are many other creation stories from other religions. Yours is no more supported than any of them. We can not start teaching mythology to students in science class, I know that would just make your day.

Because public schools don't get a choice because of the separation between church and state being carried to far. That whole idea was to avoid our country being a Theocracy where everyone has to be something. they're both theories (NOTHING HAS BEEN PROVEN IN EITHER CASE), and people who are offended by Christians or something decided to try to apply that law there and now for some stupid reason it's being used in that sense.

The Religious schools were forced to teach Evolution by the law.

Nobody in the government is allowed to force religion on anyone in a school.

Because public school teachers are afraid of being sued for mentioning any form of religion in the classroom. Creationism, however, does not endorse a particular kind of religion but many still shy away from it.

Some schools, however, now offer literature courses on the way the bible was written -- historical stuff, poetry, etc.

Its simple enough. Science is required by law in all schools. Religion Is Against the law in public schools because of the constitution, freedom of religion. Don't complain freedom of religion is a good thing.
BB, Boop Oop A Doop!

I Hate it when people open their mouth when they don't know what they are talking about Separation of Church and state is not part of the US Constitution.
