I keep seeing posts from white people who deny jesus was black by saying he was Jewish. That says nothing since judaism is a religion not a race. But isn't it possible (dare I say obvious) that the jews referred to in the bible were black? and what about these jews? (see link)

"Sooner shall a camel go through the eye of a needle than a rich man get into the kingdom of heaven"
-The Bible

Republicans are against helping the less fortunate and for helping big business.

"Thou shall not kill"
-Ten Commandments

Republicans voted for a war in Iraq, which has killied hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians. Republicans are also usually against gun control. Gun control helps curb violent crime.

Jesus preached love, compassionism, and helping others. These things were the kinds of things he would talk about if he was alive today - not gay marriage.

Democrats are much more in favor of helping and supporting the environment (nature) that God created for us.

If you are truly a Christian, rethink your political ideologies.

I agree that politics and faith should be kept seperate and Jesus was not affiliated with any political party.

However, I have always wondered why evangelicals and fundamentalist Christians tend to be more on the Republican side.

just want to say something and see what the feed back is.
OK i keep hearing that god and Jesus and the holy spirit are the same .this is nonsense. let me start by saying genesis god says behold man has become one of (US).
ok next . when john baptized Jesus lo the heavens were opened unto him and the spirit of god descending like a dove and lighting upon him. this would be the holy spirit of god.
now the holy spirit of god not god . he is still in heaven proof = he praise to god every day even from the cross.
Finlay Jesus sits next to his father in heaven .
so this is my interpretation of it all Jesus and god are 2 and Jesus has the holy spirit of god and he give that gift to us through believing in him so we may be with our father in heaven to. none of us are even Worthy to be judged by god that's how grate he is .

Thank you all for your ear. and may you find Christ.

our father which art in heaven hollowed be thy name.thy kingdom come. thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. give us this day our daily bread. and for give us our debts as we forgive our debtors. and lead us from evil. for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, for ever. amen

Ive been doing some soul searching and im pretty sure i am bisexual. Ultimately, what i want to bring forth is the notion of homosexuality associated with the Bible. Doesnt the Bible state that homosexuality is an abomination? I am Christian but i was just wondering.. If God really does love me, why did he make me like this? Why has he made me sin although i have not chosen to be like this?

Trying to understand who we are, who God is, and our relationship to God from the bible is like trying to learn how make a wool coat by studying a sheep. There is not enough information. It is preliminary information. It answers no questions. What is the philosophy of God? Does God have a personal feature? What are God's activities? What is the nature of the soul? What are the qualities of God? Does the soul have dimension? What is the purpose of punishment? What is the meaning of Love? How does one develop love of God? What is the meaning of Evil, and what is its source? Who is qualified to interpret scripture, and what are the qualities of such a person? By what method can we determine the truth? The bible does not answer these questions, but the Bhagavad-Gita does.

If he was trying to prevent people from communicating with each other, why did he, for example, make German and Dutch really similar, or Russian and Ukranian? Or Hindi and Urdu? Or Hebrew and Arabic? They're all neighbouring languages.

God's a lot smarter than me so it doesn't fall to me to question Him, but surely it would have made more sense to, say, put the Japanese language next to the Spanish language instead of Portuguese?

I mean, if the goal was to "confuse their language so they will not understand each other"...

Someone just asked about lesbianism and was told to look at Romans 1. I just have, and it appears that the main message is this:

"Because the people knew about God but didn't worship God, He got angry and _made them gay_".

Am I misreading this? If not, does the Bible not say that God is _responsible_ for homosexuality? How can it be a damnable sin if God _made_ them do it?

of God. You guys have told us that we've evolved from inorganic matter. We say (as muslims) Adam is the first human creation and the first prophet of earth to preach the message of the oneness of God. According to your science who is this genius? You'd think you would know him.

and he determines whether you go to hell or heaven. Does Gods Judgements follow precedents and are his judgements retro-active? meaning if he determines that this person deserves to go to heaven because of such and such, does that mean anyone who was determined to go to hell in the past but case wise is similar to said person, will be granted access to heaven?
