I always thought it had to be something impossible that defied the laws of physics, but you keep hearing people lately saying that there are "miracles of God" occuring "all around us" and then they point you to a baby's birth or a sunset.

Don't get me wrong: I like me some new babies and a good sunset now and again, but I just always assumed miracles were more...impressive than that.

So, can someone please define "miracle" for me? I'm confused.

There is the rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, which some interpret to be a spiritual poem and some not. I'm just curious what a rubaiyat is, in general.

If I were to be LDS for over a year and my boyfriend wants to get married in the temple but I don't. Instead I were to grit through all the ceremonies I don't want to go through just because of the endowment part and his parents being there. Is that wrong?
Also, I believe I wouldn't and shouldn't be worthy of a temple recommend and neither should he as we broke the law of chastity. (He does have a current temple recommend though.)

If the Pope has the power to get people out of purgatory through plenary indulgence, then why doesn't he just empty the place out now? If he has the power, but doesn't exercise it, then people are suffering after death at the whim of the Pope. Please make sense of this purgatory/indulgence stuff for me!!! I'm beginning to think Catholic teaching simply isn't defensible.

The story of Darwin's recanting is not true. Shortly after Darwin's death, a woman by the name of Lady Hope told a gathering that she had visited Darwin on his deathbed and that he had expressed regret over evolution and had accepted Christ as his savior. However, Darwin's daughter Henrietta, who was with him during his last days, said Lady Hope never visited during any of Darwin's illnesses, that Darwin probably never saw her at any time, and that he never recanted any of his scientific views.

Doesn't the Christian religion have a rule against lying?

There are statistics that claim that the Catholic priesthood is primarily made up of gay men; some experts estimate it to be between 40% and 80%. I have nothing against gay men, but why do they gravitate towards the priesthood?

All we have are 3 years of his life. Where were the other 30 years? What was he doing? Did he like to play sports? Did ever graduate from the ancient high schools? Did he ever get a cold? Did his mom ever ground him?

Anybody?

my parent brought me in the catholic faith ...later on my catholic faith was shaked seriouly , and I decided to make my choice of religion and get to convert to the adventist faith ...later on , I discover this was a terrible cult, and I can't accept it anymore ...I didn't know to go ...because this damn cult sets itself as a dead -end in the christian spirituality and gives you no opportunity to move away in their teaching ...I restudied my catholic faith .and decided to come back , but yet , I took the opportunity to learn about other religion outside of christianity ..Now I made a mistake on joining another faith which was a terrible cult .., can't I make my mind again , and get out of this thing, and the choose to return to my old faith or even choose something else, outside of christianity ?

The Real ID Act was passed by Congress and signed by President Bush on May 11, 2005, which mandates that all U.S. Citizens will recieve a National ID card by May of 2008. With out this National ID card, you will NOT be able to:

* Board a plane, train, or bus
* Drive your car
* Enter any Federal Building
* Open a Bank Account
* Hold a job

If you can not hold a bank account , how much buying and selling will you be able to do?

Would you consider this a mark of the beast? If you want to check out more of this or sign a petition, go here http://www.nonationalid.com/

Please give me your opinion......

God created the tree of Immortality and the tree of reason. Why create something that's not going to be used, I mean God only intended Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of immortality. Who was suppose to eat from the other tree? Very weird if you ask me, what do you think?

my fundy brethren....Once asked to explain origins without God, u accuses theists of appealing to the Gaps. Unfortunately this is circular logic which is based on presumption of atheism being true. Atheists could be accused of appealing to the Gaps,if there's God, over time our knowledge of Him will increase, and so theism will be once proven to be true. In this scenario all the attempts to disprove, or show that God is not needed, would be labeled as appealing to the Gaps in your knowledge of God. Ofcourse atheists will appeal to the trend,reality is increasingly explained by natural mechanisms. But is it? And which trend we will choose, life is much more complex than it was thought,what if this complexity is machine-like, not just any complexity? Sure science is great tool to explain reality, but only when it empirical. Historical sciences are much more ambigious. If God was once used to explain all gaps in knowledge, it it was obviously a mistake.Sometimes evolutionary biology is asked to explain how love for music evolved for example. This is somewhat unfair question to ask from biologists. Or is it?

The aimless questions from buffoons of cults and religions.

From the cult of godlessness Atheism, the worship of no hope. Creedless ninnies that are spiritually dead.

From the religion of Evolution, worshiping men and making science their God. Inflated egoist that think knowledge is wisdom.

When is it going to end?
