The Real ID Act was passed by Congress and signed by President Bush on May 11, 2005, which mandates that all U.S. Citizens will recieve a National ID card by May of 2008. With out this National ID card, you will NOT be able to:
* Board a plane, train, or bus
* Drive your car
* Enter any Federal Building
* Open a Bank Account
* Hold a job
If you can not hold a bank account , how much buying and selling will you be able to do?
Would you consider this a mark of the beast? If you want to check out more of this or sign a petition, go here http://www.nonationalid.com/
Please give me your opinion......

The Beast will come into power after things have gotten so bad on this planet for a verity of reasons that all economic systems will have fallen and there will be no way to do business. A charismatic individual will rise to offer a plan to solve this problem. It will be a unique system that will rely on instant global communication. The technology is already here. We're in for some interesting times ahead. The signs of the world going to hell in a hand basket are at hand. Our current administration has given us a big push in that direction We have a few years to decide whether we want to be on the side of light or darkness. I'm always thankful that I know that this earth is not my eternal home.

No, a national I.D. card while undesirable, is not the mark of the beast. The Bible is clear that the mark of the beast is 666 and will be put in the right hand or forehead. Rev.13:17 says that no man may buy or sell except he had the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. Verse 18b "and his number is 666. Before this happens an angel will announce with a loud voice "If any man worship the beast and his image and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of The wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of The holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascends
up forever and ever: and They have no rest day or night who worship the beast and his image and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev. 14: 9-11. Just resolve to allow no one to put an ID on your flesh and don't worry about it. You will know when it is the real mark.

Not yet, but getting there. The fact that it restricts common every day activities is certainly a build up.
As it is you need a driver's license to drive a car, and we don't worry about that.
You need a passport to travel outside the country, and we don't worry about that.
You need a social security number to have a job, and then the government thinks they own a third of your income. And they ask for that number when you open a bank account, maybe so the government can rob it they want more money.
National id is just consolidating all that. But its certainly a step in that direction.
Now if this is accompanied by injecting a grain of rice under your skin, then I'll start crying 666.
You know, there is some thought of a mid-trib rapture. And determining just when to say no to this thing is going to be a problem. I think people who refuse it will starve before decapitation even begins.

Not necessarily. I currently have a driver's license in my wallet, an employee ID from my company, numerous credit cards, and miscellaneous other cards identifying my membership in this or that. Could any of these be considered the Mark of the Beast? Perhaps the government of my state is in league with Satan, or my employer, or the banks that issue me credit. Even if any of these were so, it still wouldn't make the cards in my wallet Mark of the Beast. The one card simply indicates that I have credit with a certain financial institution. It doesn't say that I support the goals of that institution. Another card says that I have passed a drivers test, paid a fee, and am resident in the state. It doesn't say that I support all the state's policies. For a national ID to be considered the Mark of the Beast, you have to show a connection between holding the ID and committing oneself to the policies of the U.S., especially where they conflict with the will of God. There is no doubt in my mind that some U.S. policies are in opposition to Christian principles. I do not support them. It would nevertheless be ludicrous for me to deny that I am a resident of the United States who enjoys certain rights and responsibilities as a resident (and citizen). As long as statements or actions denying or contrary to the tenants of my faith are not required of those accepting the ID it really cannot be the Mark of the Beast, simply because there is no denial of Christ involved.

If you did your homework, you would also have noticed that this was part of the sweeping security acts passed under the guise of the Patriot Act. Rushed through congress. Also, had you read on, you would have seen that this act, as well as many hundreds of others, were nullified when the statutes of the Patriot Act that contained it were not ratified by congress in 2006. This and many other suggestions and acts, will never go into effect, because the House and Senate are doing their jobs. The Patriot Act was not meant to be, nor is it a permanent set of rules. It was an emergency act passed to reign in foreign militants during crisis. It was a time limited act, and some parts of it expire every year, unless the house and senate decide they should continue these acts, at which time they vote until when. Never was permanent. Not a mark of beasts.
But you cutie pie bible thumpers that drag this out, even though it has expired, and hold it up as prophecy, provide such great entertainment to the rational of thought, and the educated. Please, continue on as if you had never read this.

No this is not the mark of the beast because it would be on you hand or forehead and whomever took it would also have to bow down to the image of the beast and worship it. The anti-christ cannot be revealed until the "restrainer" is taken out of the way
according to the Bible. I have studied it and been taught on this subject and believe that this "restrainer" is the Church. So I do not thin the anti-christ will come to the forefront until after the rapture.
I do believe that things such as the ones you are talking about will certinaly make it eaiser for the anti-christ to get his plan going.

This entire "mark of the beast" is pure drivel to me- but if there were an "anti-Christ," (which I totally disbelieve), well Bush would be a good candidate.
Listen, this national ID thing will be another of "the beast's" failures because within 5 minutes someone will figure out how to counterfeit it and withing 10 minutes every illegal alien in town will have one and will be boarding planes & buses, driving cars, entering federal bldgs, opening bank accts and holding jobs.
I guarantee it.
And if you don't like it please, write to your congressional reps, and don't play the religion card.
God helps those who help themselves.

The Mark of the Beast isn't something that coincidentally happens near the Second Coming, nor is it something that people are arbitrarily punished for for no reason. The Mark is bad itself, and recieving it means committing yourself and being loyal to the "Beast".
A national ID card does not do that, and issuing them seems like a good idea since not everyone drives and has a license. Still seems bad though, that's awful excessive--and how on Earth are foriegn visitors supposed to get around?

As a few others have said, not quite sure about the whole mark of the beast thing, but definitely unsettling. Between this and people -voluntarily- microchipping themselves, I shudder to think what the world is coming to. Anyone know of anywhere pristine enough for me to be able to live off the land in peace without worrying about all the b.s.?

The "Mark of the Beast"?
No.
The "Mark of Common Sense and Protecting the Country"?
That makes a little more sense.
I fail to see what the problem is with the bank account. If you want a bank account, then you have to have a National ID. So you get a national ID and open the account. What's so friggin' hard about that?
The "Mark of the Beast" reads like this: "Hillary '08"
