and he determines whether you go to hell or heaven. Does Gods Judgements follow precedents and are his judgements retro-active? meaning if he determines that this person deserves to go to heaven because of such and such, does that mean anyone who was determined to go to hell in the past but case wise is similar to said person, will be granted access to heaven?

Well you will get a lot of scary views here.

Many people, namely Muslims and Christians think it doesn't matter what you do, you must have blind faith in their religion or you will go to hell.

For answering your question though, if a God were to judge that way, our lives our so unique no two lives could ever be very similar on many levels.

My views on the afterlife differ.

I suppose the beliefs on this depend on religion. Catholics for instance basically get a free ticket if they ask for forgiveness and obtain last rights upon death. Some religions believe that one must live a perfectly good life, others that a jsut and worthy death will do it. and of course others don't believe such places exist in the first place.

If there is a God and what is opinion on the matter is I have no idea. Personally I follow the concept that all things come back upon you. If you do good life and what comes after will be as well, if you do ill then you'll learn to regret it where ever you end up.

Dude, seriously. God is going to Judge the would in righteousness. The Standard that He will judge us by is the 10 commandments. That is God's Holy Moral Law. Truth is, we have all broken that law, and we all deserve to go to Hell. But because God loves us so much, He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die on the cross, taking the punishment for our sins. And all we are commanded to do in response to such a display of love its to repent, that is to ask God to forgive us of our sins and not do them again, and put our faith and trust in Christ alone. See, it isn't good people that go to Heaven, because no one is good by God's Standard. But the people that go to Heaven are bad people that have been forgiven. God's judgement for people is two-fold:

First:
Is your name written in the Lamb's book of Life. In other
word's, while on earth did you repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ by faith as the Lord and Savior of your life. If
so, you are assured of entrance into Heaven. The Bible teaches
that once this takes place, "no man can pluck him out of my father's hand"....security of the believer.
Those who have not had this salvation experience go
straight to Hell forever, regardless of how good, moral, and upright they might have been on earth.

The Second Judgement is reserved for Christians.
Christians are accountable to God for how they lived for Him on this earth and will be rewarded accordingly. But their place in Heaven is secure.

God has already told us who He will let into heaven, and who He won't:

Jhn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

death is termed as "to rest" until Jesus returns and at that time..you and everyone else will be judged. No one knows the day or the hour that He will return. All humans must give account of their lives to God one day. (I Peter4:4-6)

No act, action nor any good deed will get you into heaven! Only the belief that Jesus Christ died for your sins; nothing else... nothing! But that's just the beginning!

It's much simpler than all that. There is no God and there is no heaven.

Instead of worrying about an afterlife, why not make this life the best it can be?

God can do whatever He wants. I think if someone really wants forgiviness and mercy they will get it.
