If the electrity goes out it's helpful to have a source of light if the sun isn't up.
Some people can't afford electricity or just want to save money, and some people just like to be simple and traditional.
Hope this answers your question xx

although light bulbs have taken a huge liking over candles we keep them around for two good reasons. candles dont need electricity so if there is a power outage it is a good source of light. second candles maintain a religious and sexual power that lightbulbs cannot achieve. candles dont have many uses but the ones they have cant be replaced by lightbulbs

Yeah, and had not Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb, we'll still be working on our computers in candlelight.

nostalgia and several hundred, if not thousand years of history. they why is all that's changed. before it was to see with. now it is basically to meditate with.
add to that we still use it for seeing, usually in emergency situations where there is no power.
