Trying to understand who we are, who God is, and our relationship to God from the bible is like trying to learn how make a wool coat by studying a sheep. There is not enough information. It is preliminary information. It answers no questions. What is the philosophy of God? Does God have a personal feature? What are God's activities? What is the nature of the soul? What are the qualities of God? Does the soul have dimension? What is the purpose of punishment? What is the meaning of Love? How does one develop love of God? What is the meaning of Evil, and what is its source? Who is qualified to interpret scripture, and what are the qualities of such a person? By what method can we determine the truth? The bible does not answer these questions, but the Bhagavad-Gita does.
