i was watching the history channel ((final days of planet earth)) and it said that one of the ways the earth could die is this Rogue Black hole that is wondering around just outside our solar system.

is God trying to Kill us by putting it their or is he just trying to let us know that he has the power to do it???

either way doesnt that make him seem kinda molevolant :)

I'm from a fundy family. It's interesting how they always have to SOUND Christian in everything they say. I don't feel the need to SOUND atheist in everything I say. Why instead of saying "Thank you for the Christmas gift" do they say "Thank you for the BLESSING of the Christmas gift." Instead of "I've been wondering how you are" it's "I have been burdened with thoughts of you."

Does Jesus give Bonus Points for SOUNDING Christian? Don't they think it just makes them sound holier-than-thou and not a little creepy?

A friend of mine is to be married and is converting to Catholicism. I do not believe Catholics are Christians. What arguments can you make against the Catholic religion which might convince my friend not to convert? I have some, I just want to know if other people have better ideas.

I posed the question: Why does the Christian faith offend so many?

Several answers said that they are offended by the idea that "if you don't believe you will end up in hell" and for this reason they are offended by Christianity.

However, athiests believe that when we die we cease to exist. I am not offended by this. I don't feel an ounce of anger, or any other emotion when I think of this.

If someone doesn't believe in hell, why would they be upset if someone else does?
