Dogs, like nearly all domesticated animals, were actually 'created' by man. They have been bred for thousands of years for the ones with just the right characteristics that were desired.
There is plenty of proof and evidence that Man has created dog.
You've never heard a story about a Golden Retreiver killing an infant, have you? Nope. It's always pit bulls. Golly- I wonder why these two dogs have such different personalities. You could 'believe' that god made it this way. But- it's well known that man has bread characteristics and traits into dogs.

LOL! You're right, I can't even go home and keep myself in a bad mood with those two mutts of mine. They're just joyful creatures!
We have 3 cats too, so I'm guessing He was in a cuddly mood when He created cats, maybe a bit reflective too, which would account for their times of aloofness.

God didn't have time to think about creating dogs or cats. If he did, then he was wasting time in not intelligently designing millions upon millions of other species.

I agree, dogs are the best buddies to us. Love my dogs. The cat, I just think God didn't want us to get too bossy, a cat takes no nonsense from anyone.
