We don't know, but he probably spent some time as a carpenter and some time with the Essenes, possibly studying at the Temple also.

Probably preparing himself. We dont know because its not an important part of the work that Jesus did on earth.

The bible is not a story book about the life of Jesus, its supposed to be a tool for Christians to use when they need guidence. If it wouldnt be relevant for Christian teaching, then God didnt include it in the bible.

From the age of 12 until he began His earthly ministry, He would have been learning at His earthly father feet. He would have been carpentering in His fathers work shop. At thirty He started His earthly ministry.

First, being selfless and sinless toward his family and friends.
Second, being selfless and sinless to his local community and synagogue.
Third, when he "passed" his test toward his temporal responsibility, he was baptized into the eternal ministry that was prepared for him as Jesus the Christ, or Jesus the Messiah, as the selfless sinless lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

He was saving those prostitutes, one at a time. And if he had enough money, maybe he would take two. Jesus was showing them his techniques for "seeing God". Makes you wonder if he had to use a "super" condom due to him being a demigod.

I always assumed the reason nothing was written about the missing years is because they were very, very boring. Probably just doing the carpenter thing with dad. (I mean Joseph, not god)

Helping his dad with the carpentry business, and helping his friends with their fishing boat.

I saw something on the History channel about how some ancient texts depict him as a really mean person until the whole gospel time.
