As a Christian, can you recommend a good bible study that would help a group grow closer to God? Maybe something that emphasizes the spiritual displicines.

Jesus' teenage years are missing. So are his twenty something years. In fact, there is absolutely no word in the Bible or any other text from the middle east of his whereabouts until the age thirty. There are documents in Tibet however and travelers have seen them. It's that simple. Yes, Jesus is the only begotten son of God but he is not the only son or daughter of God. The Bible used to say that until it was changed to "children of God." There is a path of mastery that needs to be walked. Jesus walked it. Did he ever! His training and mission took him to Persia, India and Tibet. We are intended to 'walk in his footsteps,' maybe not to those countries but we are supposed to become the master and 'put on the mind of Christ,' and 'do greater works than He,' as Jesus and the disciples admonished us to do.

Many people have seen or have been told of the evidence in Tibetan books. Their stories are all documented in one book, The Lost Years of Jesus by Elizabeth Clare Prophet .

What advice does the Catholic Church have for those who are longing for true love. I've been very patient but to tell the truth my patience is wearing thin.

There is an excellent video available in the market named UNKNOWN YEARS OF JESUS CHRIST. You should get that and watch it and make your own conclusion.

According to that Video, Jesus was in Tibet learing Buddhism along with Tibetian monks and they called SAINT ISSA. Every one were taken by the greatness of SAINT ISSA . Jesus later left Tibet and went to Benaras and learned all Hindu scriptures under Hindu saints. Jesus was sick of the caste system existed among Hindus.

Jesus wanted to fight what he saw in India, but he was told his mission is back home to take care of his own people. So he returned back to Judea along with an Arab carvan.

It is said that thereis historical evidence of Jesus Visit to Ladak, Tibet, India. That fact is documented in a Russian Nicolas Notovitch' works. His book "The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ" was written after he made a trip to ladak in 1890's. According that book he saw a manuscript in a Tibetian lamasery dealing with Jesus's visit. He published his book in 1894. There are two more books dealing with Jesus visit to India. One is "A Search for the Historical Jesus. From Apocryphal, Buddhist, Islamic & Sanskrit Sources" written by Fida M. Hassnain (first published 1994 by Gateway Books, U.K.), the second one is "Jesus lived in India" by Holger Kersten.

(Please take this, at least in part, seriously.)

Missionaries arrive from another planet in distant solar system. With them they bring advanced technology that can heal CANCER, generate cost-free ENERGY, and solve world HUNGER, among other wonders. They demonstrate their know-how, and it is absolutely certain that they can do this.

However, they say the technology is a gift from their gods, and only to be shared with those who accept their religion: a belief similar to Hinduism. And all who accept the gift must agree to this condition, as well. There will be no sharing with anyone who doesn't adhere with the faith brought by the aliens.

How would you respond to their offer?

This religion has something to do with England of the 16th & 17th centuries. Any connections with the Pilgrims? The Puritans had a half-way covenant. Anyone know about the above, for instance, an organization in America that has information on them?

In Satanism are you told not to believe in an existence beyond death? What if you're an atheist but you think that existence beyond the one you know is not the only one. Would you be disqualified as a Satanist? for example if you look at all the dimensions that we cannot percieve...? I won't go into the physics of it, but I don't think it's entirely impossible. Thanks

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

OK, getting the hang of this forum, thanks for all the encouraging responses. Are we agreed that the only dumb question is the unasked one? Great.
I just have no idea what theists believe. I've been reading back some on this forum, including responses to my "atheist" questions, and I'm more baffled than ever.
I think the consensus here is that "God" refers to the deity embraced by Jews, Catholics, Protestants and Moslems. (Hope I've got that right.)
So in order to call myself an atheist, I have to NOT believe in this God. But honestly I have no idea what on earth this "God" is, beyond something equivalent to the (presumably) mythical and man-made Greek storytime gods like Zeus.
Can someone tell me in simple words (and PLEASE without quoting e.g., the Bible or Koran, whose only authority is obviously paradoxical, "This is true because it says here it's true") what or who they mean when they say they believe in God.

We should give people the choice to make informed decisions.

Nowhere in the Bible,Koran, and whatever the Jews read after watching woody allen\ mel brooks flicks... Have I seen a passage where it forbids a person from worshipping themselves. So I'm considering a modest 50 to 60 foot statue with a lighting bolt in one hand and myself holding the globe on the other. Any further suggestions on how I could make a statue of myself, more awe inspiring and worthy of your worship? As a deity in training, I thank you in advance for your postive feedback.

1 corinthians 15:27,28 Why is Christ who some claim is god Subjecting himself to Himself in this scripture. All i get is people trying to prove their trinity beliefe but they really have no explanation for this scripture the best that is come up with is that we cannot understand god saying things like it is not to us to understand the deep things of God, but God does say he reveals his word to those who are humble in mind and heart. Why also would God record something for us just to confuse us?

First of all, no offense, but I definitly do not want to be a Christian or Muslim. Both religions are definitly not for me.

I am going though a lot of problems right now. I had a parent die a couple years ago. Since them my husband and I have gone though a lot of problems.

I have depression and anxiety which I definitly don't want to use medicine for. I try to manage it on my own but it's exhausting.

When things weren't so good with my husband and I, I kissed 2 guys within a 6 month span. I told him about it, and he wanted to work things out, luckily for me. I would never do it again. It's been over a year, and he still suffers because of it.
I feel extremely guilty still, to the point that I don't feel good about myself a lot of the time. Since I know it still bothers him, I feel like nothing will make me stop feeling guilty.
I consider myself a spiritual person, because I have a deep spiritual connection to nature. I used to be a Christian, and had a good relationship with ->
