i contacted a spirit that said they were my spirit guide what does that mean she is not my relative or anything but has been following me for about a year she said

Someone who guides you in the spirit world. It's a native american belief. A good book to read would be Animal Spirits by Ted Andrews.

Your spirit guide can take on any form. For some it's a person, others an animal. It's usually whatever is most comfortable to you.

Ah, a spirit guide! Something I know about!
Spirit Guides can appear as humans or animals or... well... pretty much anything!
At any rate, your apparently feminine guide will be someone to help you make good choices, and will watch you as you go through life. Though, sometimes you'll switch Spirit Guides. Not by choice, it'll just happen. They help you with different things. You may also end up with more than one!

Just as they all said a spirit guide is someone or something that follows you throughout your life. The only thing I have to add is that she or he can be a family member. My spirit guide is my mother after she passed.

I do believe in spirit guides however what disturbs me about what you said is she told you she has been following you for about a year?? A real spirit guide is with you from the day you are born till you die.......it just doesn't sound right.

I believe that a spirit guide is with you your entire lifetime. I understand that a spirit guide is not a relative, or an angel. It is a guide that watches over you for your entire life. I understand this guide is chosen by you and for you before your birth, and will stay with you through your journey on earth.

a spirit guide is the term used for a spirit who helps you in your mediumship development
this is different from a spirit guardian ( or some may call them guardian angels ) which we all have
they are not family members or anyone we would know ... and generally have been in spirit for many many years
we may have many spirit guides through our development ... depending on what aspects of mediumship we are working on
and some come and go , but one generally remains with us
with respect to those above .. i believe animals are reffered to as totems or animal guides but are more symbolic in nature
but you still love me though father K ... so all is good :o)

They are demons. Unless they confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, you want nothing to do with them.
Edit: Yes, Pangel, I do. People who love each other can agree to disagree agreeably and still love. That's what makes it "love".
