But now I am sure many have originated out of the pit of hell? "Your God" and "My God" are not always the same God. Any comments?

What all religions? Christians, Jews and Muslims all have pretty much the old testament in common and a few variations aside, they are pretty much the same. How many Christians, Jews and Muslims interpret their religion can be radically different. So, I would say that many religions are valid, but the beliefs that stem from those religions can be all over the place...and yes, some straight from Hell. I guess that makes sense, what greater perverted joy can Satan have then to have Man commit atrocities in the name of God.

Here is the way I think. First, what IS valid is the right of every single human being to be the owner of his own mind and the master of his own thinking and believing. The overwhelming majority of people think and believe a certain way based hugely on the influences upon them during the early, formative years of their life. The mind conditioning can be so strong that by the time that person has become an adult, those "beliefs" are hardwired into place to the extent that he doesn't even realise that they are not truly his own. He spent years of his childhood having those thoughts and beliefs injected into his brain and into every aspect of his life. You think only Muslims have been "brainwashed" into their belief system from childhood? We have ALL gone through some degree of "faith conditioning" The only difference is that some of us are way more susceptible to it than others. Some of us were fortunate enough to escape it almost entirely.
Be all that as it may, each and every person has the right to whatever beliefs he has from whatever source. What you believe is like your property. It is yours to own, and unless and until YOU change your mind, no other person on the planet has the authority to tell you that you cannot own what belongs to you, or attempt to make you give it up for something THEY are selling.
Search through history, and think about the people you personally know, or have known, or heard about. You will see that the most impressive attitudes and behaviours are, and have always been, displayed by, those people who quietly lived their own lives, according to their own quiet, and unobtrusive belief. They simply, and gently, lived according to their own moral code, based on their personal belief, and they NEVER, I mean N E V E R , attempted in any way to force it on anyone else. They were not "loud" or "vociferous" or "pushy". They just got on with it themselves in their own calm way. They never "touted" what they believed, nor did they ever denigrate the beliefs of others. They never tried to "sell" their personal beliefs to another person by suggesting that THEY had the lock on "truth" and therefore they were right and YOU must therefore be wrong. They never did any of that. Sadly, "religion" seems to be the "fashion" of the moment, and way too many people are out there wanting to tell YOU, that your "fashion sense" is lacking, and YOU are the one who has to change.
Oh, and if you don't want to.. well gee, there is one Biiiiig, mean, angry, punitive, jealous, pissed-off "God" out there who is going to hang the worst, most awful, painful, gutwrenching eternal punishment upon you, for daring to actually USE the brain that said "God" allegedly gave you to begin with.
As I said, whether another person agrees, or disagrees, we all have the right to walk our own road, and come to our own conclusions about theistic beliefs. I came to mine, and if somebody doesn't care for my thinking and believing, ain't that a shame!!

It seems as though religion has undergone the capitalist boon of "my God is better than your god."

Whenever you have a human trying to interpret something that is beyond human comprehension, problems are bound to arise, especially when people are (cue to gasp) inherently evil.

By evil, I mean lazy. Religion is an arm of laziness. Why else do they all sound the same? Or maybe there is only ONE God? Who knows?

The apparent facts of the matter are that when people use a source of inspiration and faith to advance their personal goals, trouble is bound to happen.

Personally, I reject all religions as being machinations of control by people too afraid to let others be free. And considering that no deity, God, Allah, Whatever, never created a religion, but it was man who first created religions, that should have been the first warning sign that trouble was to come.

Validity is purely formal. It just means the conclusions follow from the premises. The problem is most religions start from false premises. So even if they are valid (the Abrahamic faiths fail even this test) they are not necessarily true.

All religions have elements of good in them. However, those good parts can be removed from religion. You don't need to be religious to be a moral person.

And all religious beliefs can not be true all at the same time. There are too many irreconcilable differences between different religions.

I follow my God, not a God that is in a book or a building. my God has no name and yet brings forth life abundantly. my God can be neither proved or disproved and is affected daily by every thing I do. in the end it is my choice if i choose to give life to my God or death and the outcome of this action will affect me directly.

This is my God.

One Earth, One God.. Nothing more, nothing less.
Organized religion has made a mess of everything..
"Only our church will save you", what a crock of crap.. No religion will save you... You can however save yourself, you and whatever God it is you choose to believe in.
All beliefs are valid to those who believe them. I would never want to step on anyones belief's.. as I would not want them to step on mine.
Good Question... Thanks for asking
