Lambs Book of Life is the book that one of God's angels will have wich has recorded the life of everyone that has accepted Christ. Those in the book will be the ones going to Heaven

If you're not found in the book, you'll be going to the other place.

So will your name be found in the book or will you be going to the other place?

My boyfriend and I, both 19 years old, have dated for 1.5 years and are going to get married in the future. This decision was brought on by a LOT of prayer from us and our church leaders. We have always tried to the best of our ability to include God in every aspect of our courtship, and it's gone great so far. The problem is, we are both college students and a part of our first year dating took away from sister-sister relationships and brother-brother relationships, because we were with each other a lot. This year, our leaders told us that this was something that we were missing out on, that we weren't building the same-gender relationships God provided for us, and that we should pray about taking a break in the relationship. So we prayed and it didn't seem like the right thing to do, so we are still dating, still very loving, etc... Now we are trying to hang out more with our own genders and developing those relationships. I agree that this is the best route.

a society based on hard facts instead of theory and things that actually make sense. The story about how we were created can be compared to other tales such as: Santa Claus, Tooth fairy etc.. I am not trying to insult ones belief, but i find it hard to grasp how so many people these days still believe in the theory of "creationism".

I have studied many courses in this field dealing with evolution and other theories of how we were created so i am not being ignorant to one side. I just want to see your point of view!

Athiests following their core beliefs.
Mao 49 million
Stalin 30 million
Pol Pot 1.7 million
Kim Sung 1.6 million

Now lets list Christians who were following Christs teachings when they did it.

If you could please quote from Christs teachings since we are talking Christians.

My point with athiests as the majority bad things would happen in big numbers. No ultimate right and wrong to stop them.

..Yet they can not answer simple questions like "when did the last ice age end?" and "how old do scientists estimate the universe to be?"

I'll just keep asking you simple basic scientific questions every adult human being should know and though you claim to be informed, you just keep not answering, giving the wrong answers or dodging the question.

And don't deny it. Christians were tortured by Romans for hundreds of years after the birth of Christianity, which first became violent with the persecution of Greco-Roman polytheists after it became the official religion of the Roman Empire around the beginning of the fourth century.
Muhammad fought many battles in his lifetime, not just self-defense ones but wars of expansion. When he died, the Muslims controlled roughly two thirds of Arabia. His descendants created an empire larger than the Roman one in 119 years.
So why?

Think about it. People of all faiths will swear that their God(s) changed their lives for the better. (I can look up accounts if you guys really need me to)

Either God does not discriminate based on how we choose to worship (as the Judeo-Christian God, mulitple gods, nature, elements, etc) or there is something innate in all humans that gives us the power to make our own lives better once we have something to believe in.

I personally think it's the first, or maybe a little of both. What do you guys think?

Judging by this logic it doesn't matter how you believe as long as you believe in some sort of god. In which case we can all stop fighting about who's right.

Yesterday I asked:

"Which would you prefer to see first: America bankrupt / massive Islamic terror or Muslims stripped of rights?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Anh.mPabP4Igscf_6pTmsfrsy6IX?qid=20070111164037AAbviVw

Nora, a Muslim, answered "America bankrupt
to let their government knows that no one leads forever!"

The PEW research group studied Islamic sentiments with respect to America and showed that most Muslims worldwide share "nora's" view. Her answer was by no means an isolated example.

What if we closed the borders to Muslims and banned Islam. Wouldnt we save trillions in anti-islamic terror expenditures?

Can you strip Muslims of the freedoms they dont respect anyway without having a slippery slope? Muslims have already cause ALL OF US to lose some rights. Wouldnt we all get rights back, and tax dollars back if we took these measures?

I know...we are to poltically correct...(sigh)...

I know there are pagans on here, maybe you can help. For some reason all the "pagans" I've met in real life are always so glumy.
Same with wiccans.
Hmph.
And your religions are such free stirited religions, one of good, and one with nature.
SMILE!
Hecate loves you!

I mean, his/her religion shouldn't matter, they still committed a crime and religion has nothing to do with it. If they commit a crime in the name of religion,it still doesn't matter-its not the fault of the religion, the blame lies solely on the shoulders of the criminal.
So why do people say things like, "Atheists are immoral!"/"Christians make up most of the population in jail!"/"its the work of satan?"
This is all my opinion on the subject ,however. I just don't think that we should blame belief/disbelieve for commited crimes. What about you? I'd be more than happy to see your thoughts.

Is it just me, or does it seem to you people as well that God gives us JUST ENOUGH to believe that He's real. We all know the reasons everyone gives for believing in God (Bible's historical accuracy, the beauty and complexity of the world) and we know the reasons people give for NOT believing (pain and suffering, He doesn't speak or make Himself visible). So... for those who believe, do you ever feel like it would be nice if he'd just do a little more. Please, don't hit me with the "have faith" stuff. It is about faith. I already know that. I'm just saying, do you ever just think,, "God come on! Just give me a little more to work with!"
