Am I the only one repulsed by this treatment of women in islam? I don't want muslimah posting how liberating islam is for you - the facts are there to see. And yes, I have read the koran and understand islam, so don't come out with the 'you don't understand islam' baloney.

Muhammad lived a less than holy life. His lust for sex, his affairs with his maids and slave girls, his pedophilic relationship with Aisha a 9-year-old child at the age of 53, his killing sprees, his massacre and the genocide of the Jews, his slave making and trading, his assassination of his opponents, his raids and lootings of the merchant caravans, his burning of the palm plantations, his destroying the water wells, his cursing and invoking evil on his enemies and his revenge on his captured prisoners of war disqualify him as a decent human being let alone the messenger of God
An unbiased study of Quran shows that far from being a “miracle” that book is a hoax. Once Quran is scrutinized with rational thinking, almost every sentence proves to be false. Quran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities and grammatical errors. Could possibly the author of this Universe be as ignorant as it appears to be in Quran?

I've seen video of Pentecostals receiveing the holy spirit and they fall to the floor writhing and babbling nonsense. This looks an awful lot like a siezure.

What is your religion? Do you proclaim it? Does it offend you when people disagree with your religion? And if you don't proclaim it then do you really believe?

The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology, 6th ed.
Keith L. Moore, Ph.D. & T.V.N. Persaud, Md., (Philadelphia: W.B. Saunders Company, 1998), 2-18.

"[The Zygote] results from the union of an oocyte and a sperm. A zygote is the beginning of a new human being. Human development begins at fertilization, the process during which a male gamete or sperm ... unites with a female gamete or oocyte ... to form a single cell called a zygote. This highly specialized, totipotent cell marks the beginning of each of us as a unique individual."

If Mohammed was truy a prophet, he would have set better examples. If Allah was a true god, he would know that Mohammed would be called a pedophile in the future. How could Allah allow his last messenger to be called a pedophile in the future? Was it necessary for Mohammed to have married a 9 year old little girl and result in being called a pedophile later on?

Character defects like these and many other factors, such as the absence of miracles in Quran disqualify Mohammed as being the last messenger of God.

It doesn't make sense does it?

Because they can literally create another person within them and release it? Why didn't more of the major religions worship the female since it would seem she would be closer to divinity in this light?

(Continued question) that they were written hundreds of years ago and were based on primitive like times and during a war like stage.

Everytime a new religon was born hundreds of years ago, war raged against it.

Such as what happened to the Jew's and Christians.

When the religon Islam was born war raged against it as it did with other religons that had been founded.

So those Verses in the Quaran based on fighting Non Believers are based on the war that was put against Islam when it was founded.

Yet deranged idiotic lunatics misinterpreted the verse(s) and with it they created the 9/11 tradgedy and brought a new founded racism towards Islam.

Even if there are violent verses in the Quaran, there are only quite a few and they're based on the war that was set ages ago.

I, for one, don't believe in hurting anyone, including Non Muslims (ect.). (Im a Muslim)

And what more, the rest of the Quaran is peaceful and yet everyone seems to ignore that -

A common argument against gay marriage is that calling two men "married" is an "insult to my marriage". What does that mean?

Presumably, there are many marriages you don't agree with. When a young stripper marries an old man for his fortune, should that not be called a "marriage" because it's an insult to your own? And really, is two people in a close and loving relationship more offensive than a golddigger and a man who's willing to pay for a sexy young wife, if those two people are the same sex?

Also, why should laws be made based on whether or not you consider the result to be insulting? I think lots of laws are insulting, but gay marriage is the only one I've seen with any real opposition. Why is that?

Considering that in many parts of the world, they have a much different calendar than we do, not even in the same year as us, nevermind the same day - we have leap years, daylight savings, etc., how do we know when is truly the sabbath? Anotherwords, as long as one decides to set the same day aside to worship God, whether it is on Sat. or on Sun., does it really matter?

There seems to be a lot of controversy on this topic amongst religions and I just think that there really is no right/wrong answer. If your workweek starts on Mon., than wouldnt your sabbath be on Sunday for you?

There is a great link about this phenomena. If a person (adult) is possibly injured or in crisis, we (the collective hoard) are conditioned to see it as unfortunate. If a kid happens to be among the injured, it's a tragedy. Aren't all lives equally precious? Be they 2 Earth years or 97?

“Color of the Cross”

20th Century Fox just released a movie to DVD entitled “Color of the Cross” This movies goes by the premise that Jesus was really a black man and suggests that race may have shaped the course of biblical events.

Not from a religious standpoint, but from purely a historical view is there anyone who actually believes this?
