an answere i recieved for my last question mentioned it's wrong and they shouldn't marry because they can't have children. the whole god made adam and eve not adam and steve thing. that is a big argument in the usa right now, weather or not gay people should have same human rights as others. so in saying they shouldn't marry because they can't have kids, should sterile humans not be allowed to marry either? seems like a lame argument to me.....

I don't mean encroaching on freedom of religion in any way. Actively discourage it in a similar way it discourages smoking etc.
(maybe by removing tax free status, educating children on the pitfalls etc.)
Surely religion is as damaging to ones mind as smoking is to ones body.

to her and be engulfed in her beauty? its definitly a religious belief system. Could it be that Satanic spirit will appear like a Siren and decieve you and entrap you as you are taken to hell. rather than be harvested by angels of God.

I mean so much has gone both ways, but i have yet to see a real debate on anything. I always hear about debates on a campus 1,000 miles away, but none that i can go to. I'm seriously waiting for a debate on abortion. Modern embryology has shown conception=human life, so why do they still have abortion for all these girls who accidently get pregnant and not for serious medical reason?

I love the show Charmed, but I wonder how real witches and wiccans feel about the show? Do you feel it portrays you in a good, bad or really fake Hollywood light? Any shows or movies you recommend that have a positive witch/wiccan story to it?

Thanks

This is a SERIOUS question, I don't want no homophobic answers or whatever, but I'm just interested why the majority (or perhaps just the vocal majority) have very negative views on homosexuality.

This only comes about because of this news article >>http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6243323.stm<<. I asked my mum last night (who is a Christian) if she didn't like gay peeps because of her moral views or religion. She answered because of her religion. So I'm just interested.

If God gave us free will we should be able to think freely and then become athists . But why do'nt you do this? No freethinker could believe in God. If you want to know what freethinking is vist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freethought

I am not a professional tarot reader, but I've been reading cards for almost twenty years. I'd like to branch out by reading cards for strangers, instead of just my friends, family & self.

I'll provide a one card tarot reading to the answerer(s) who seems like s/he is asking a genuine question. You'd be surprised how much info can come up with one card.

Please ask the question you are curious about and mention whether or not you would be kind enough to write me back and let me know what you think of the reading. I must be able to reach you via your Yahoo Answerers link in order to give you a reading (no exchange of email addresses is necessary).

Please only serious answerers & please no answerers who just want to state how awful tarot readings are and how wonderful God is, because, yes, I already know how wonderful my God is, thank you.

Bless.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, this just doesn't make sense to me. I understand the whole concept of "I just have faith." What I don't understand is how a rational thinking person can justify looking at the ancient Olympian gods (Zeus, Aphrodite, etc..) and think of those as just stories and myths, but takes the Bible seriously. (This question doesn't pertain to those who take the BIble metaphorically.) In that same position, I can't see myself trusting a collection of sometimes contradictory stories from a primitive, ancient civilization. Moses heard God in a burning bush? To me it sounds just as unbelievable as any other primitive mythology.

I don't support terrorists.

I don't support terrorism.

I don't believe in killing anyone who's not a Muslim.

I highly dislike the fact that people judge all Muslims by what idiotic radical lunatics have done in the name of Islam - Whom I also hate.

I try to do my best to stand up against terrorism.

I don't believe in drawing my information from the Media considering that that's where most people get their false information about Muslims from.

I don't enjoy harming people and/or animals -- Nor do I actually harm any.

Have any of you considered actually reading the Quaran instead of believing every racist thing you see on websites? Or every negative thing the Media posts about us?

What do you think of me?

i read many individuals questions about spirituality and religion. But I am personally interested in the heart of what you as individual seek? Think out of the box. Apart from religion, tradition or philosophy - in your own personal desires and aspirations, what do you want. What do seek and why is it important to you. What brought you to what you belief? Experience or knowledge? Are they absolute to you and are you pursuing it because it's something you really believe in? An honest question looking for an honest answer

In a Sunday worship, there are many ways for one's soul to be saved: Accept Christ as a savior, drink a certain kind of wine, eat that round thing, and everything....

If there are as many ways as this, we'll be saved a lot of times, don't you think so?...

Anyway, I thought of this question because a certain pastor was asking many things from his listeners. I was one of them. There were many parts of the worship and it took hours. One of the parts was when we were given a small glass of a certain kind of wine. I didn't get one. The pastor said, "raise your glass of wine and let's drink it at the same time. Those who will not drink will not go to heaven." Well, I didn't because I found it funny.

1. Jesus died for your dirt? Truly good people are not in favor of someone else paying the price for your wrong doings.

2. Heaven and hell? Truly good people aren't being good just to get a reward. Hell doesn't frighten people who know they're good

3. Truly good people find it difficult to relate to a God that allows murder to be commited in his name.

4. Truly good people have high standards of behavior. How could they believe in a God with such low standards.

5, Truly good people aren't intimidated by the unknown. Why should we? We haven't hurt anyone

6, Truly Good people know it's not wrong to require more evidence of God's existence. Who are we hurting? Noone. That's how we see it and a truly good God would understand this.

Should people continue to do what they want to do as opposed to what they need to do? God made us intelligent enough to choose right from wrong and our time is getting shorter, haven't you noticed?
