According to CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."

My question is : what are the conditions in which a muslim can be saved according to catholics?

thanks

It is easy to accept him. If this is the only way to be saved, I can do this all the time even if I do bad things. Why do I hear many "Pastors" say "accept Christ as your savior and you shall be saved"? People believe in this too much and this makes them do bad things because anyway, they believe they will be saved just by accepting Christ.

Can accepting him as a savior assure you in going to heaven?

All the major religions of the world believe that humans have an eternal soul. For the faithfull, that is never open to debate. But what about animals? Do they have souls? Could dogs, cats, horses, insects, fish have everlasting life? What is your position on this? What is you religion's position on this?

Or perhaps you think one of the others was greater than these 2. I tend to lean toward Paul but Peter actually knew Jesus as a man and maybe Paul just seems greater because we don't know as much about Peter's life and how much he suffered to spread the gospel as we do about Paul's. What are people's thoughts on this?

I was enrolled in a Catholic school in Los Angeles for 12 years in the 70' and 80's. I was wondering if anyone else was periodically struck or beaten by the priests or nuns. I remember many other kids getting hit with hands, rulers and erasers.I was hit so many times that I thought that it was normal-and I was a good kid.

I think this is one of the stupidest things about religion. The most important thing is that you believe something against the evidence that we have.

In the Bible Jesus was fasting in the desert and Satan was tempting him.

Since we know the Gospels are eyewitness accounts then was someone was watching Jesus sitting on a rock talking to a snake in the desert?

Or were they watching him shouting "Get thee from me Satan" to an invisible friend.

I have two missionaries visiting me, and I'd like to share the Gospel with them. I just want to know if anybody has successfully won a Mormon to Christ. The last time some missionaries were visiting me, I challenged one of them to answer why, if in the afterlife, he would be able to work himself up to the level of perfection, that Christ's sacrifice has to be "infinite and eternal" (Alma 32). They transferred him rather suddenly after this, and he has not been allowed to contact me.
PS. I'm not interested in reading responses from anybody who doesn't think I should be doing this. If you post a gripe response, you risk being reported for trolling. This is not a forum, this is Yahoo! Answers. If you don't like my worldview, go cry in a chat room . . . somewhere else.
