No, my Catholic friends, who I have had many, many deeply religious discussions with, have never said I was going to hell for any reason. We share a lot of similar beliefs actually...the Catholics and the Methodists.

Methodist sometimes mention the Catholic church in their prayers. One of the main reasons I could not make the Methodist church my church home. Pope John Paul II changed my thinking about the Catholic church. He apologized for the Crusades but I can't believe in pergatory because pergatory squashes what Jesus did at the Cross. His death, burial and crucifixion took away our sins and took captivity captive. Praying and paying to get someone out of hell who lived their life denying Jesus Christ is not biblical.
In heaven there will be Catholics and members of all faiths who believe in Jesus Christ. No church gets anyone to heaven. Only one way and that is Jesus Christ. We either accept Jesus or we deny Jesus. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they follow Me.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:
Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.
Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.
All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.
With love in Christ.

Not quite.....as a catholic I was taught that while only good catholics could go "straight up," those of other faiths, if they really really did their best, could get to heaven as well. They might have to perform a bit of angelic community service or some such, but they could get there.
They were to be pitied, not condemned.

No, Catholics don't believe that you'll go to hell if you are not Catholic. Catholics are taught that we have the one true religion, but doesn't all religions believe that their religion is the one true religion? We are taught and truly believe that all good people are taken to heaven regardless of their race, nationality, and faith. It's all about what you have done with your life.

No.
From Dominus Iesus, a declaration written by the current pope, when he was head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith.
"Therefore, these separated Churches and communities as such, though we believe they suffer from defects, have by no means been deprived of significance and importance in the mystery of salvation. For the spirit of Christ has not refrained from using them as means of salvation..."
From the Catechism:
However, one cannot charge with the sin of the separation those who at present are born into these communities [that resulted from such separation] and in them are brought up in the faith of Christ, and the Catholic Church accepts them with respect and affection as brothers . . . . All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church."
"Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth" are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: "the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements." Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church. All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him, and are in themselves calls to "Catholic unity."

Catholics Believe they are the Chruch, & anyone else is going to hell, They excommunicate you if you don't follow their teachings, Of Course I am not catholic, & Excommunication from any church, does not bother me, The Churches did not give me salvation, God did, & what God did, No man can undo it. A little story here, I repented of my sins in 1970, & from 1970 to 1974, this one preacher try to everyone that left his church, he try to excommunicate, He tol me in 1974, if I left his church, I would be out in sin again in less that one year. Guess what It has been going on 33 yrs. now since I left that Church, & I am serving God even More than in 1974. That is what I think of excommunication from a church.

No, as a mater of fact no one can say who will be save or who will not.
Luke 23: 39-43
39One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" 40But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? 41We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." 42Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.[a]" 43Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
Was enough for him to recognized his sins and accept Jesus as His savior. After that we know that when rouse from the dead He said to His disciples...
John 20: 21
Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." 22And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."
