In a Sunday worship, there are many ways for one's soul to be saved: Accept Christ as a savior, drink a certain kind of wine, eat that round thing, and everything....

If there are as many ways as this, we'll be saved a lot of times, don't you think so?...

Anyway, I thought of this question because a certain pastor was asking many things from his listeners. I was one of them. There were many parts of the worship and it took hours. One of the parts was when we were given a small glass of a certain kind of wine. I didn't get one. The pastor said, "raise your glass of wine and let's drink it at the same time. Those who will not drink will not go to heaven." Well, I didn't because I found it funny.

I think he was trying to do a sacrament or a lord's supper. Usually done with some sort of bread and wine or water.

My understanding of the sacrament is that it's supposed to be a weekly renewal of your baptismal covenants (the promises you and God make to each other when you are baptized). It's supposed to be a quiet time to think about Jesus and personally review how your week went - ask yourself if there's something you need to repent of etc. It's a very individual experience.

From my perspective, the way he did it, seemed a little odd too.

That's not funny, it's brainwashing. And it smacks of Jim Jones's tactics.
Want some kool-aid? I'd refuse ANYTHING a christian wanted to give me to drink at this point.

You didn't drink it, so you are still here. Maybe you are lucky.
