Because they can literally create another person within them and release it? Why didn't more of the major religions worship the female since it would seem she would be closer to divinity in this light?

Uh, no. In my experience, pregnant women are certifiably insane.

I believe our relationship with God is very much on the level of parent and child. And so that leads me to think that parenthood (motherhood and fatherhood) is probably the closest thing we humans can experience to know how God feels about us.

I think there's something divine in all of it - from a loving couple conceiving, to great grandparents playing with their little grand kids.

But as a currently pregnant lady - I just want to say thanks for the compliment. It's refreshing when I'm mostly just feeling sick and nuts at the moment.

Well, you can't say that they create another person, it's meiosis, which requires both sperm and and egg to function. All things arise from causes and conditions. Both men and women must interact to sustain the proper causes and conditions for pregnancy. So, no I don't find pregnant women godlike as it's a process that brings a child into the world, not one person, but they might have God's Wrath :)

i'm a pregnant woman (definition of pregnant woman is a woman who's pregnant). I see no distinction except the term is utilized in a derogatory way alongside with: that pregnant woman is ineffective! lol The term I dislike is preggo. it seems to truly undermine the sweetness and miracle of turning out to be existence and makes it sense purely approximately grimy.

Wow women can litterally create another person? I didn't know that. I had thought all along that they conceived a child.
You learn something new every day.

Unless it’s a clone, it takes both sperm and egg to create life. Woman doesn’t create alone but her body serves as temple to nourish and sustain.

Yes, beautiful, but a bit too hormonal.

Women can be "God" like, but it is only to be so through God. He gives the permission. Now if men became prgnant instead of women....would you ask are men more "God " like? God has given this miracle through women (because women are to be 'gentle' people.)

No, we are not "God" like. We are child bearing mothers. Remember, it took a man to plant the seed of that life and a woman to grow it.

I think it might be the vomiting, flatulence...ect... that comes with pregnancy that kept it from being worshiped.
