Religion & Spirituality - 9 January 2007

In Social Studies, I'm in 7th grade, we were learning about the World's 3 Oldest religions:
1.Judaism
2.Christianity
3.Islam

I'm a Hindu, and I'm not being a "Hindu Nationalist or w/e......
But shouldn't Hinduism be the world's oldest religion?

Last time I checked, Historically, it is!

What if I showed non believers a picture of a man standing in the middle of a fire, unaffected by the flames? He even has a grass skirt on that is not even singed. I promise it is not a doctored photo either. It happened during a ceremony in Papua New Guinea...I think.I'm not entirely sure of the actual location. My religion teacher did a slide show of a trip he took, and he took the picture himself. He is old and wouldn't know how to photoshop a picture even if he wanted to. I'm just saying...people always ask for proof of the supernatural. I think it is very good evidence. I am going to email him and ask him to send me a copy. Tell me what you think.

It seems to be a theme in a lot of major religions, that women are not allowed to be any sort of 'church leader' (for lack of a better term)......Like, priests, bishops, imams, popes.... Seriously...Why is this? Is it just deriving from ancient tradition.....or.......?

You still may have a problem. There are hundreds of religions out there. Only one can be right. What if you get trumped by another and it turned out to be the correct one. Lets say Satanism would you be in a world of trouble there? OO
