I follow truth. But I'm sure it's not the truth that you're talking about. Religious faith is blind, most notably in Christianity. I do in fact follow the teachings of Jesus (probably more so than most Christians) but I'm not a Christian and don't worship Jesus as God, nor do I even worship God. A creator that demands that you worship them makes no sense to me. The divine created me with logic, and logic tells me that an entity that created all of existence wouldn't need the worship of anyone. Therefore the only logical conclusion is that those that worship are worshiping something other than God. To follow your "Truth" which could very likely have very little truth in it, requires faith, blind faith. Faith in a book. A physical object. A "Graven image" so to speak. The bible is an Idol. Much more complex than a golden calf, but the result is the same. Worship. Worship of something. Since God requires no worship, you must be worshiping something else. The words, I suppose. Perhaps that's why the bible is so often referred to as "the word of God" to put the emphasis on the words themselves so that they may be worshiped. The only true God lives in our harts and our minds.

Well I follow Jesus because there has never been anyone like him in all of history, I will also add that The Christian religion is the only one that teaches forgiveness, for the others it's all ways revenge. That's why there so much hate and turmoil in Iraq. Yes Christ is the only savior you have to know to get to haven and I know many will not agree but that is their loss.

Let us concern ourselves with the TRUTH and FAITH in Jesus Christ. The promise of GOD that He would save us is in the New Covenant. The power of baptism to unite us with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection is in this Covenant. Then you are born of water. The spirit that died to GOD in the Garden of Eden in Paradise is now reconciled with GOD. That spirit can be born of Spirit, John 3:5-6, and be led to do the will of GOD, have the righteousness of GOD by faith and live forever. After all, Habakkuk prophesied: "But the righteous will live by faith." Habakkuk 2:4. It is the spirit that needs salvation. The flesh has nothing to contribute to this.

I follow Jesus and I am so glad about it. He has been my Savior for over 50 yrs and He has not let me down. Don't let anyone tell you that we are brainwashed, it takes a lot to brainwash a person. Sitting in Church for 1 hr. a week will not cause anyone to be brainwashed, that is just the old atheists tired old rhetoric. God Bless you, child of God. The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.

It's certainly your Constitutional right to believe in Jesus, but I think you need to distinguish between YOUR religious freedom and the extent to which religious fanatics are persecuting others and trying to take over.

I respect everybody's right to freedom of religion and I respect your decision to worship Christ. In fact, I have many Christian friends who are really good people and seem to get a lot out of their religion. At the same time, religious fanatics are trying to take over America and the world.

First of all, they're trying to legislate their beliefs in America. That's goes against the founding and defining document of America: the Constitution.[1] They believe that they're above the law. Not only that, but many religious fanatics believe in murdering people who won't convert.[2] Once they take over America and overthrow the Constitutional government that the revolutionaries fought the revolution to found and our founders dedicated their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor and risked being hung for treason against England to create, these religious fanatics believe in conquering the world.

Fundmamentalism is a rationalization for murder. They're a danger to society, a violent cult and a threat to our nation. They have a very ricketty moral foundation. So, good, upstanding citizens MUST stop them at all costs.

What we're fighting to PRESERVE is religious freedom for all of us. That includes Christianity, but it also includes other religions, like Islam, Hinduism, Wicca, Native American religions, etc. But, part of being a good citizen in the U.S. is respecting, or at least tolerating, religious diversity. So, while I respect your decision to worship the Christ (and I certainly think He/he said some great things, which have been influential in MY life, even though I'm an agnostic - I'm also a Buddhist and a Wiccan - neither religion prohibits being a member of the other), I also expect you to respect, or at least tolerate my religious calling and those of other people.

None of us really knows what's going on in the universe, if there is a God, He's mysterious and ineffible. I've come to the conclusions I have. You've come to yours. We're all mere mortals trying to make sense of our universe. Let's just try to be good to eachother and get along.

I worship a man named Jesus the Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life and the author and finisher of my faith. If I have any religion it is simply to know Him and the fellowship of His suffering.

I know what you mean by this."Religion" means following the rules and putting on a show.Looking like a faithful person.True Faith can only come through Jesus Christ.Accepting Him as your savior.I became a Christian August 2005.My favorite song is "Amazing Grace."I`m constantly in aw of Gods grace, and how merciful he is.I always knew the song, but I never understood it till I was saved. That`s how amazing Gods grace is.I once was lost, but now I`m found. Was blind, but now I see.
