I find this to be especially true here in the state of Pa. 2) How silly are they that they believe in the "rapture" a word that doesn't even appear in the bible and the majority of Christian denominations that have been around longer then them don't even acknowledge.

There is a website that has a Blasphemy Challenge. It tells you to say that you do not believe in the Holy Spirit, put it on video, upload it to You Tube, and then email them and they'll send you a free DVD for condeming yourself to Hell. If you have heard about this then how do you feel about it?

The Catholic religion states that you have to do enough good works to get yourself to heaven, and there is no guarantee of your salvation, so.... how many works are enough? God says in Romans 10:9, "if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no place in the Bible that states that we have to do good works to aid in our salvation. According to the Bible, all we have to believe is that Jesus is our only Savior, because HIS death and resurrection alone paid for our sins.

well there is this girl named lindsey and we were talking about God and things like that and i told her that i was Catholic. she asked me WHY I WAS CATHOLIC!!! she said that because we pray the Rosary and we look to Saints for help and things like that that we worship more than one God. [no offense to those that do pray to more than one God, but that is not the Catholic faith.] also, this guy colten said that Roman Catholics are stupid because Romans are the ones who killed Jesus!! who says things like that? they're Christians too! ALL CHRISTIANS SHOULD JUST GET ALONG AND SHOULD NOT DISCRIMINATE EACH OTHER BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE THE SAME MAIN FAITH AND WE WORSHIP THE SAME GOD!!! i'm sorry if i hurt any ones feelings or offended anyone but their words really hurt me.

Given then fact that there are billions and billions of stars and planets and more than likely, other intelligent life in the universe. Why do we think that Earth is the "apple in god's eye"? How would we explain that to other life out there, that our planet is the prize in god's universe. Isn't that a litte arrogant?

Or to even tell those other beings that the creator of the entire universe looks just like me! Now THAT is arrogant! We are no more important than any other life out there. This imagined self-importance seems to be a product of religion.

For me, modern day atheism is based on the principles of being a pretentious snob who enjoys antagonizing any believer of the abrahamic religions while not being able to make any educated decision by themselves. All they can do is credit science while not really caring if the theorys have any type of scientific method behind them. If anything, buddism and atheism is the new "in" thing to be.

i don't necessarily believe in any organized religion. But, to tell people what they believe in is wrong is just a form of immaturity and ignorance. Last time i checked, the theory that a single celled organism spawning from nothingness might as well be in the book of Aesop fables.

Atheism will come and go. So during the mean time grow up and learn to make your own educated decisions instead of stealing others.

Somalia, one of the poorest countries in the world (Along with Ethiopia which has a equal rounded number of Christians and Muslims) was bombed by U.S. fighter jets. The country had just obtained a stable government (The Islamic Courts) and the war lords were no more. And Ethiopia and Somalians were at peace. People, after years of suffering from killings and war lords finally had hope and showed their new happiness through parades and peace between countries and within. I am afraid for other countries with Muslim secular governments. Al the U.S. gov has to say is "Al Qaeda is there" and they came destroy governments on defenseless countries making other countries around the world hate us more.

If my parents were Hindu, Muslim, or Jewish, chances are I would be too. I have faith that my belief is right and that I have the word of God in the Holy Bible, I'm sure those who have the Quran, Torah, etc. think the same thing. We all believe we are right, although some religions don't believe in the Son of God.

We got them out of the public schools and they can't have the 10 Commandments at the court house, we own the media with our friends, The 10 Zionist Jews Who Rule the World.......how about we make Amy Grant join a Black Metal band? A condom in every Happy Meal? How about a new cartoon aimed at kids that teaches them about the wonders of Satan's million year reign on earth? Any ideas?

People believe that the bible, a 2,000 year old book, has the answers to the universe. That the knowledge of everything has already been figured out. Nothing could be further than the truth.

"Science's permanently revolutionary conviction that the search for the truth never ends seems to be the only approach with sufficent humility to be worthy of the universe that it revealed."
