People believe that the bible, a 2,000 year old book, has the answers to the universe. That the knowledge of everything has already been figured out. Nothing could be further than the truth.
"Science's permanently revolutionary conviction that the search for the truth never ends seems to be the only approach with sufficent humility to be worthy of the universe that it revealed."

I would much rather want to know, than to just believe in what a book says is the truth.

No I do not think that it is. I do think that one day it will be. That would be the day that we are all under one government..(Gods)

your correct, the truth in science is always coming up
but The Bible already has these truths, for example, the Bible has passages in it describing to the Israelites how to clense their bodies when dealing with the diseased, and the dead. Hm, it happens to be the same way that Doctor's do it today, clensing up the arm, and rinsing, letting the soap run down your arm. Quarantine was in the Bible also,- Leprosy - this was an example of quarantine from verrryyyy long ago.
God invented Science, so whether it is already in the Bible, or not, you're just discovering the truth of God.

Nothing, not even science, has all the answers to everything. Religion only wants you to believe that it does, so that is where you will turn for all your knowledge. Science knows that it doesn't and makes no pretense of having all the answers.

Amen bud. Religions like christianity/Islam are the beginning of the quest to find truths to what have not yet been discovered, not the end.

The greatest joy of Science is not knowing it all.
If there is a God, I do not envy him and I pray that I will never be cursed with the bordom that surely must result from ultimate knowlege.

No, there is more to be revealed. In the Lords time,He will reveal it. There is ongoing revelation and He tells us through His modern prophet. I can read it every month in my church magazine and watch it on the TV every six months.
Why don't you watch the general conference of the LDS church on TV in April. If you don't get it broadcast in your area, you can listen to it online.

Yes....and no. Our knowledge is complete but our understanding is not. Jesus siad that He has far more to tell us....but the Holy Spirit will remind us of what has been said.
