And exactly what blatant truth is being hidden?

The same way our government can hide blatant truth and still call themselves a democracy.

Churches are fairly good representatives of the people who attend them. Their fears and/or ignorance rule their conduct within the church and the world around them. Some churches are more aware that they are fallible, other churches refuse to acknowledge that and go to a variety of extremes to protect an "image" of something that never really existed.

There are many false teachings that have infiltrated the church these days. Jesus warned us about them repeatedly in scripture. He said that they were "wolves in sheep's clothing."
I attended a church where the pastor would preach a sermon and then after he had completed his message, he would give the congregation the opportunity to ask questions about anything that he had said that they disagreed with or did not understand. If more churches were like that, the preachers would be more likely to express the truth.

How can a pig call itself a dragon?

How can G call itself Y?

How can history call itself math?

How can noise call itself music?

How can George call himself Stacy?

How can I call myself atheist?

How can Mr. Bush call himself 12 years old?

How can I call myself 60 years old?

You can call yourself anything, doesn't mean it's true. And that's the blatant truth.

Well, they shouldn't be called a church if they're doing that.

Satan makes people do these things. If they are not fully following the word of God, they are blind to what is truth and therefore, they make really bad choices and they also lead their congregation astray. Shame on them X 2.
