"while not being able to make any educated decision by themselves. "
- And The Pot Calling the Kettle Black Award goes to....
"But, to tell people what they believe in is wrong is just a form of immaturity and ignorance. "
- No, that's actually called 'telling the truth'. You should try it.
"Atheism will come and go."
- Now you're just being funny.

I have, and will continue to forgive those who question my religion or try to force their beliefs on me. They deserve salvation just as much as I do. Who am I to tell them to stop being atheist. I will never argue about my religion or try to enforce my beliefs on those who do not wish to be saved. This decision is between them and God, and until the Rapture, or until I die; Everyone on the face of this planet will continue to be my brothers and sisters. I only pray that they will make the right choice.

Because atheists have superior intelligence, purer souls and are better looking. Besides, the alternative is far worse.
A recent study in the ‘Journal of Religion & Society’ (Cross-National Correlations of Quantifiable Societal Health with Popular Religiosity and Secularism in the Prosperous Democracies by Gregory S. Paul, Volume 7 (2005) http://moses.creighton.edu/JRS/2005/2005-11.html) found that:
“higher rates of belief in and worship of a creator correlate with higher rates of homicide, juvenile and early adult mortality, STD infection rates, teen pregnancy, and abortion in the prosperous democracies”
The US is the most religious country among all developed nations. In fact, the US is most similar to 2nd- and 3rd –world nations. Religious conviction in America is more similar nations that produce radical Islamic terrorists than it is to the developed secular democracies of the world.
Over the past 100 years (coincidental with the scientific/industrial revolutions), the importance of religion has become less important in every developed nation except the United States.
Over that same time period, the least-religious (most-secular) nations have experienced
dramatic reductions in:
oHomicide rates,
orates of adolescent gonorrhea,
oadolescent and adult syphilis infection rates,
oearly adolescent pregnancy and birth,
while in America the situation is reversed, and just keeps getting worse.
In summary, the author states:
o“Increasing adolescent abortion rates show positive correlation with increasing belief and worship of a creator, and negative correlation with increasing non-theism and acceptance of evolution.”
o“In general, higher rates of belief in and worship of a creator correlate with higher rates of homicide, juvenile and early adult mortality, STD infection rates, teen pregnancy, and abortion.”
The same pattern holds true within the United States, as well. When compared against the more secular northeastern US, the most pro-religion and anti-evolution regions in America (the south and mid-west) have higher rates of:
oHomicide,
oMortality,
oSTDs
oyouth pregnancy, and
omarital and related problems.
According to the National School Safety Center (NSSC), over the last 20 years there have been more mass student murders in the US than in all of the other secular developed nations of the world – combined.
The study concludes with a severe negative judgment of the effects of religiosity on American life and society:
o“The United States is almost always the most dysfunctional of the developed democracies, sometimes spectacularly so”.

It sounds to me like you're 14, maybe 15 years old and surrounded by idiots like yourself who are feeling their way in the dark as to what they believe and who they are and behaving like pompous, imperious c*nts along the way. One day you'll grow out of the "making ridiculous mischaracterizations about entire groups of people based on your own limited experience" phase and realize that idiocy has no particular ideological bedfellow of choice.
Oh, and if I may ask, are you a libertarian as well? You strike me as the type.

Perhaps atheists needs to attack theists in order to feel a sense of purpose?
The theist accepts that he or she has a relationship with something greater than ones self. A relationship in which there is accountability for ones behavior. Might it follow that if one fears or resists accountability one chooses atheism?
If the atheist has no higher authority to serve then what gives an atheist purpose in life? Attacking believers?

First: all atheists are not alike.
Second: if one person insults you or hurts your feelings, just deal with that person and that incident. It may or may not have anything to do with his/her atheism. Don't overgeneralize from ONE incident with ONE person who hurt your feelings, to say that atheists are "pretentious snobs."
Pot, meet kettle.

If you see a bunch of people running around say the sky is falling, wouldn't you say something?
OK add on top of that that they want to teach it to your kids too. And they want to use your tax money to keep it propped up.
When they back off, most of us will.
