Somalia, one of the poorest countries in the world (Along with Ethiopia which has a equal rounded number of Christians and Muslims) was bombed by U.S. fighter jets. The country had just obtained a stable government (The Islamic Courts) and the war lords were no more. And Ethiopia and Somalians were at peace. People, after years of suffering from killings and war lords finally had hope and showed their new happiness through parades and peace between countries and within. I am afraid for other countries with Muslim secular governments. Al the U.S. gov has to say is "Al Qaeda is there" and they came destroy governments on defenseless countries making other countries around the world hate us more.

I'm more pissed off than depressed. Right now I hate this country. I feel like an anti-Nazi citizen in Nazi Germany. If you mention anything about how the US has made mistakes, you're labeled as supporting terrorists. If you're against the extreme measures that Israel takes in it's invasion of Palestine you're labeled an anti-Semite (which I'm not, I agree more with Jewish ideology than with Christian.) If you think express a concern for Muslims that have nothing to do with the extremists that attack us and our allies, you're seen as a Terrorist sympathizer. If you are a muslim, you're considered a terrorist until you can prove that you aren't, and then they still watch your every move. The constitutional "privlage" of "Innocent until proved guilty."

The airstrike occurred Monday evening after the suspects were seen hiding on a remote island on the southern tip of Somalia, close to the Kenyan border, Somali officials said. The island and a site near the village of Hayi, 155 miles to the north, were hit.

The main target was Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who allegedly planned the 1998 attacks on the U.S. embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that killed 225 people.

He is also suspected of planning the car bombing of a beach resort in Kenya and the near simultaneous attempt to shoot down an Israeli airliner in 2002. Ten Kenyans and three Israelis were killed in the blast at the hotel, 12 miles north of Mombasa. The missiles missed the airliner.

President Abdullahi Yusuf told journalists in the capital, Mogadishu, that the U.S. "has a right to bombard terrorist suspects who attacked its embassies." Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Aideed told The Associated Press the U.S. had "our full support for the attacks."

Yes such a weak government could NEVER be in danger of being overtaken by Al Queda. Can anyone say Taliban? Anyway, I suppose time will tell if what the USA did was the right thing or not.

War is no good, but Jesus did warn us that there will be wars so i take comfort in his word that He will return soon

Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Also the reason these countries are so poor is beacuse of courpted men who would rather spend money on weapons than food which is really sad !!!

If we don't stop Al Qaeda and every other terrorist organization, the world is doomed. Nobody likes war, but it's necessary. I'm proud of The United States of America for doing the right thing.

May God Bless us all.

Do you really know what is going on behind the scenes of military intelligance, or just what you read in the newspapers? Last time I checked, the Canadian Herald was not a U.S. Intelligence agency...

It's really sad. It's amazing how misguided everything seems, with no weapons of mass destruction and all. I hope this stops soon.
