Yes giving up your life for Christ. And to acknowledge you are a sinner, in the hands of almighty God. Without Jesus you are destined to hell, because nobody has kept the ten commandments. Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has commited adultery in the heart. So God is concerend even with the thought life. The greatest commandment is love the lord your god with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. To become the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, one must become a servant. You cannot serve two masters, either you serve God or Satan. If you follow in the footsteps of Jesus you will be blessed greatly. Do they wait for sex. That's an affirmative. How long. Till their married. Do they get baptised. Yes although I don't believe its essential for salvation. ex; the guy on the cross next to Jesus.

Do they wait for sex? Yes they should. Some do not. Marriage is the time line. Do they get Baptized? Yes they should. Some do not. You will know when you are ready for that proclamation of faith, but salvation comes through the belief in Christ. John 3:16 is the most easily cited verse.
Start reading the Bible. New Testament first and then attend some local churches and here what they have to say. Prayer is another good way to go.

A Christian is one who wants God to forgive their sins, asks Jesus to come into their heart as their personal savior. One who wants to turn away from the sinful , selfish life and live for the Lord. A Christian looks forward to going to heaven some day and can be blessed here and now also. A Christian should go to church regularly and read the bible and pray. Its a good life and the bible is a guide to live by. The New Testament is very important to the Christian.

Being a Christian means being like Christ. It also means having a personal reationship with the only true living God. It doen't mean perfection, it means doing things like Christ would. The first step is to admit that there is sin in your life and then Ask Jesus for forgiveness. Then you need to ask Jesus to be your savior. The reason you need to do this is because when Adam and Eve sinned they created a seperation between man and God. Jesus became the link to God when he gave his life for us. Only he could do this because only he was sinless.
Many people are afraid that they have to give up there complete lifestyle to be a Christian and that's not so. The best way to be like Christ in my opinion is to LOVE. Christ was the ultimate example of LOVE. When your relationship with Christ starts to grow you just naturally want to do the things that are Christ-like and stop doing the things that aren't.
One of the worst examples of Christianity are those who judge others. There are definative rules that the Bible is specific about foIlowing. One example would be Homosexuality in Romans Chapter 1. However that in no way gives a Christian the right to persicute homosexuals. Many Christians think they are right by cursing relatives who have come out of the closet. How Dare They! We are to love them Just as Christ loved us. Another example is if your child tells you that they are pregnant or got someone pregnent with out being married to them. The worst thing to do is condemn them. It's awful that parents can't forgive the mistake and show their children the love and support that they need like never before at that moment.
I Personally, believe that people should want to become Christians because they see the Joy and Peace that other Christians have and they also see the Love that true Christians give. LOVE is the best witness any Christian can show.

I am basing all of this on Biblical truths, not the truths of those who claim to follow.
Do they wait for sex? Biblically, yes, you are not to have sex until you are legally married to the other person and only then may you have sex with ONLY that person.
Do they get Baptised? At some point, when they feel spiritually ready to make a comitment to the Lord, yes.
The best thing you can do is read the Bible. Focus on the New Testament and get involved with a Church to learn more about Christianity.
Just as with any other religion, those truly following Christianity will strive for the best but will sometimes fail. Thankfully Christians know the truth of forgiveness- that said it shouldn't be used as a crutch.
To become Christian it says in the Bible that you must first accept Jesus Christ into your heart- through prayer one must admit that they are a sinner, that they are giving up their lives for God and that they accept Jesus as their Savior.
And that's that, you've Saved!
I hope this helps.
:EDIT: Christian worship God by worshipping Jesus. They are one in the same along with the Holy Spirit hence the concept of the "Trinity"

Assuming you are asking sincerely, you become familiar with the scriptures in the Holy Bible related to salvation. It is best to start with the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. After understanding that Jesus was the only sacrifice needed by God to reconcile all of mankind to Him you must accept Jesus as your savior. Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul. Love your neighbor as yourself. Be nice, don't do anything to anyone else you would not want done to you. When you see that you are failing to do these things, ask for forgiveness from God through Jesus your Savior. It will be granted if you are really sorry you failed to do the positive things you know you should do. God will then empower you to do better. Try again. Stay around Christian people who are sincere and appear to be balanced in their Christian beliefs. Churches contain all kinds of people. You will not be impressed by all of them. That's OK. You won’t impress some of them either. Check around at different churches. The names are not as important as what is going on there. Find one you like and hang around as much as you can. Get involved. God guarantees if you do this he will take care of you - forever. It does not mean you will not have any more problems. Life is full of problems and you will have your share. You will just endure them differently and you will be impressed with the manner in which the Holy Spirit will intercede in your life. It is unusual but real. Enjoy.

Being a Christian means having a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. Baptism is an act of obedience done after a person has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and is not essential for salvation. A true Christian will read and believe the entire Holy Bible and will, through the power of the Holy Spirit, do their best to be obedient to what the Bible teaches in all things.

Christians follow Christianity, which is based on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth and Saul (Paul) of Tarsus.
It would be nearly impossible to give a brief generalization of Christianity; there are far too many denominations of Christianity. I will try to provide something which the majority of Christians practice or believe:
Biblical Inerrancy - The Bible is the Word of God, and is without errors.
Baptism - Christians view baptism as either a remover of sin, or an act of obedience.
Divinity of Jesus - Most Christians believe that Jesus of Nazareth was God in the body of a man. Jesus was fully God and fully man.
Messiahship of Jesus - All Christians accept that Jesus was the Messiah predicted in the Old Testament, and thus call him "Jesus Christ".
Second Coming - Most or all Christians adhere to a theology that Jesus Christ will return to earth for a second time, to judge the living and the dead.
Eternal Heaven and Eternal Hell - Christians believe that Heaven and Hell are eternal, and where you are placed is determined by whether or not you accepted Jesus as your Savior within your lifetime. Catholics believe in Purgatory, which is a place where souls are cleansed before entering Heaven.

There are lots of different churches, who do some things differently, but, in general Christians should wait until marriage for sex.
Jesus said, talking about the bond between a husband and wife, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife, and they two shall become one flesh."
He was saying that a sexual relationship creates a "one flesh" relationship that lasts for life, so you shouldn't do that with anyone until you are married to them.
As for baptism, each church does it differently, but all Christians are baptized somehow.
