Yes. I don't believe in Satan and the firey pits of hell - but I do believe in our own personal hell on earth, created by our own negative emotions. No one who is surrounded by death that much would be able to really be free of those negative emotions, in my opinion.
Peace!

I don't believe in heaven, hell, god, or satan -- there is no evidence of any kind that those ancient superstitions are real.
I do believe that killing is wrong -- but because I value human life, not because some misguided book tells me I should. An executioner is just doing his job -- what is wrong is the government that hires him to do the executions. Government doesn't have the right to kill any more than citizens do.

That is a tough question. However the executioner is not the judge in the court who ultimately makes that decision.Remember if that person is being executed most likely they have been convicted of murder. The bible justifies killing enemies of Israel in the Old testament ,so executing a killer is justified in my opinion. If someone murdered your children I dont think you would have a problem being an executioner for that day. It would be a job that most people would not choose to do though.I don`t think an executioner would go to hell if he believed Jesus Christ was his/her savior and asked for forgiveness as a sinner which we all are.Hope this helped.

Carrying out legal, ethically-sentenced state executions is not a sin.
I'm not even sure it's a sin if a state executioner executes a condemn criminal whom the executioner believes is innocent.
Of course, executions can be abused, and have been abused. This sin, I think, falls more upon the court system, and perhaps the police, than upon the actual executioners.
However, all people are sinners one way or another, and we all need a savior.

Christians are not supposed to give opinions....2 Peter 1:20...Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
So I answer according to the word that is written...by the spirit of God..
If a man leaves the this life ...with his sin un reconciled...he has choosen his own fate...
It does not matter...whether one does not believe in heaven ..hell...God or satan...according to the word...Romans 3:3....For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
vs.4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;
A man will not leave this life..without first hearing the word...and he will have an opportunity..to choose...

That's basically what the GI's are doing overseas as we speak, killing under the consent of the "king".
Where do you think they're going? Heaven or Hell? Are they executioners? Or murderers? Some difference huh?

He/She is doing their work. They were called upon by the people/courts to end the life of a horrible person. I do not think they would be considered a sinner. Hell, I think they are helping to eliminate the hindrances of the world.
I would hope that psychologically that person can go home and feel that way though. It must be VERY tough going back to your family knowing that you helped to end a person's life. They did not decide if that person should die though, so they are not credible for the death.

In the Bible, the death penalty is permitted for certain crimes, including murder, rape and kidnapping. But only after a trial and conviction. It was the responsibility of the chief witness to be the one to throw the first stone. They commit no crime by carrying out the sentence.
So according to scripture, a person who carries out a lawful execution is not a murderer. The Bible does not forbid "killing", only murder. There are times when killing is the correct and moral thing to do.

If your heart is pure and the executioner is born again he would not go to hell. Otherwise, yes.
