Religion & Spirituality - 7 January 2007

I have moved to a new area, and these are the churches that are most plentiful here. I have been attending Catholic church for a long time (though I was never confirmed a Catholic), but the closest church is almost 20 miles away.

I am open to exploring new faiths who have houses of worship in my local community.

No where in the bible does it say when Jesus is coming back!!! How can so many believe this. I will take a guess why. BECAUSE THEY WANNA BELIEVE ITS TRUE!!! Just like all religious people.

I have a friend who is a Jehova's witness and I don't really like to bring in the topic on religion with her out of respect and I am curious. I know you don't celebrate Christmas, or birthdays...but why do you celebrate wedding anniversaries? With all due respect I know a wedding celebrates the union of a man and a woman who are in love but a birthday is the celebration of the birth of a human being that is a product of that love.

let me elaborate, if a psychic could visualize what's going to happen in future, that basically tells you what's going to happen in future has already taken place before (or at least concurrently with) "present".

lets imagine your life is being written in a book by God ( God knows who), if at present time you are on page 30 (to you,pre page 30 is history and post page 30 is future), But that doesn't mean anything beyond page 30 has not been taken place, the book about you has already been been finished before you even flip through the very 1st page. If you think future is not predestined, that's because you can't beat the "Time" factor to jump to page 50 while you are on page 30. Psychics are those who have the ability to beat "time" and able to travel forward or backward at ease. therefore give you a glimpse of the future.

and for any Chrisians reading, I ask you to open up your little box that confines Christ. But what if He were to stop by tomorrow and maybe even stay for awhile and teach us more lessons on how his Church became a legal system instead of what He intended, I suspect that the Christians of today, especially those who are under jurisdiction, would be the unbelivers and put him on trial, and the Jews would be the belivers. Okay, this is an argument I've heard from atheists quite a lot. It basically means: Although there is no proof that God doesn't exist, there's also no proof that he DOES exist, therefore the DEFAULT belief would be that he DOESN'T because nothing is believed until proven.

Now, that argument works fine with other things BUT...

When it comes to God, we are talking about the creation and origins of the universe. Since the argument can be given that there is very LITTLE chance that the universe "spontaneously existed" after nothingness was goin on for a while...then why is the argument of God so dismissable to most atheists?

Most sects of Christianity teach the trinity doctrine. God is three persons in one "triune god"; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Now, let's look past the fact that this is really a polytheistic view of god and think for a moment about the family dynamics we have going here...

Now if you want a fundie to go ballistic, one of the more effective methods is the mere suggestion that god or any facet of god could be female. "Heresy," they will tell you. "Woman was created from man. Man was created in God's image..."

Now, allow me to point out that any family wherein there is a child requires a male and a female to have procreated. Let me also point out that the Holy Spirit is supposedly a nurturer and comforter, traits typical to women.

Therefore, I can only conclude that either the holy spirit is a female or Jesus was adopted and God the Father and the Holy Spirit are homosexuals.

all the books are from God, but people played with the books that's why God sent Moses after Abraham, Jesus after Moses and Muhammad after Jesus peace be upon them all, Also we believe in all the prophets and messengers as Jesus pbuh.
God most powerful saved Jesus, he never died, they put somebody else on the cross that looks like him < another miracle>. Jesus peace be upon him will come back to show the truth to the world and die as a son of man.

There is a prophet a God whos name is Elizabeth. She has been given so many dreams and visions and Revelations from God.One of them was regarding destruction and the wrath of God on America. aI believe it. Yaweh told her that he is not happy with America. He told her the poiticians and government lead people astray. How true that is. According to the Bible, if you never received the Holy Spirit you were never a Christian.
If you received the Holy Spirit, at the very least, you have acknowleged the existence of God and cannot, therefore, call yourself an atheist.
YOU CANNOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS.

Why do they blame God for their lack in spiritual intellect? Why do they blame others for their void with respect to their inner source of being? You proclaim if God was there, he would proclaim himself! The truth is you have by the laws alienated yourself from God, being that you perceive through a mindset of God off in a distant place. You are what you are by pre-determined causes, your whole experience of an Atheist is the laws by which you move within, and as such these laws were by your own past, so in many ways the laws and octaves by which control your thinking inhibits you from understanding anything that is not bound to the physical.

The simple fact that they write rude nasty things about other religions show that they dont belong to any religion. A true follower will never condemn other religion to prove himself right. People using abusive language no matter whom they beleive are actually serving their own EGO.
