Dont say Christ applied Old Testament Law, Jesus said we are free from the law, He made the people leave the adultress, and not stone her, and then said he forgave her. Muslims practice barbarism, beheading, cutting off hands for stealing etc. And want to quote the Old Testament and say we do the same. It is only their extremists who are the problem, but they have the most extremists on the face of the planet, and they seem unwilling to stop it themselves, both sides justifying themselves with the Koran. Did Jesus forgive the adultress and stop the stoning or not?

If you don't know what a Platonist is, no need to answer. I just want to know if I'm in the minority.

How come on here, whenever a non-muslim like me criticises islam, there's always a million muslims answering in the fashion of 'you don't understand islam', or 'you're frightened due to lack of information' etc. How come every single non-muslim in the world is wrong, and the muslims are right? Many of us have read plenty about islam and form the view that is an evil religion that promotes violence, hatred and death, will not compromise etc. We've come to these views because we have read about it and look at it objectively whereas they can't due to a lifetime of indoctrination, recitations, ritual prayers, fasting. It's just so condescending for them to continually say that all the time, do you agree?

I was raised with Christian beliefs but recently in the last few years I have been investigating other religions and have found I don't believe in the credibility of any religion. Right now I could be considered border-line atheism and because I know I'm not the only one, I was wondering what others motivations are for living. I myself don't really see a point in living if there is no conscious existence after death. I know a lot of people say they enjoy life because of family and progression in life but I've had a social disorder for several years now and just prefer to be by myself and get no enjoyment out of being around family or helping others. My only enjoyment is in materialistic items, which I have started to realize material items don't make me happy. I'm just wondering if anyone else is in my situation or have been and how you coped with it.

2007 will be bloody year, becasue people do lots of sins. they getting to far from god. they just hurt each other and do lots of crime and if they see some one is hurt they dont help it.
next year was too bloody year for iraq. u dont know what happen there, u just listen the number of dead. which of course it is more than what u hear from news. the conditions there is too bad and scarey. u are safe now in ur home, but plz if u just believe in god try to ask forgivness and be take care of other people.
there was an iraqi guy who told us iraq will spend very bloody time, and he was completely right. he told 2007 will be very bad year for all people. and its will affect all lifes. because people do lots of sins.
if u believe in god ask forgivness and pray too much. may be god send help from the sky.

In many Islamic countries it is punishable by death to convert from Islam to another faith. In many Muslim countries it is not allowed to have churches or synagogues. If Islam becomes the leading faith in the world, it will be a one world faith, because it will not tolerate the existence of other faiths. Their leading method of execution is beheading, "ring a bell" In the book of Revelation believers are beheaded because they will not deny their lord. We are viewed as " the people of the book" or "infidels" by the Muslims.
Am I missing something here?

It's a Free Ticket!

And Tickets Are Still Available

Predestination and election can be easily understood with the following illustration: Bob Smith lives in Tyler, Texas. He has been invited to attend a banquet in Shreveport, Louisiana. The host for the banquet sent Bob a ticket for a seat on a bus scheduled to leave Tyler at 9:30 a.m. on a Wednesday and arrive in Shreveport at 12:00 noon the same day-just in time for the party.

The destination of the bus has been predetermined. As soon as Bob steps onto the bus, he becomes a participant in this predetermined trip. His ticket assures him of a seat on the bus. His destination is certain.

However, if Bob throws away his ticket before departure, or if he gets off the bus between Tyler and Shreveport, he will not arrive at the destination originally intended for him.

The same is true of the predetermined journey God has set before us. If we use the free "ticket" He has given to us, get aboard the "bus" to the Kingdom, and stay on the bus until it arrives, we will arrive at our proper destination. But if we get off the "bus" before it reaches its destination, we will not enter the Kingdom. Or, if we throw away the "ticket" before boarding, we will forfeit our "seat" on the bus and lose the privilege of participating in the predetermined journey.

The host of the banquet invited many, offering them free tickets, but many of them declined the offer. The only ones finally chosen for participation in the festivities were those who made the trip and showed up for the banquet.

Divine election is no different. God chooses those who choose Him. Many are invited, but those finally chosen for participation in the Kingdom are those who accept God's provisions for salvation. Jesus Christ is the Elect One chosen from the foundation of the world (Isaiah 42:1; 1 Peter 1:20). He is the Way into the Kingdom of God (John 14:6). When we accept Him, we are "in Christ," and become participants in His death and resurrection (Romans 6:311; 2 Corinthians 4:14). Similarly, by joining ourselves to the Elect One, becoming members of His Body, we become participants in His election.

The End

In Muslim countries it is punishable by death to convert to another faith, and no churches or synagogues are allowed. Peace and intolerance do not mix. If Islam ever becomes the leading world faith they will see to it that there are no rivals, and even atheists should feel very threatened. Unless you can supply another view, I am waiting?

My point is that its just these days in the modern days people start to disbelive, and u ask urselves why, before 400 years back and beyound most if not all every single human actually believed, so why these days, maybe because of all this society, advanced things, etc, that shows how weak people are, this life is a test and God is testing peole if they believe him, but the non-believers are the weak minded.
