I was called a moron tonight by one of my answerers in another "Atheism"-related question, and although I am not offended, I am concerned. Which leaves me with another question I would like to ask.

Stop visiting Yahoo Answers Religion and Spirituality if u don't like to hear about Hell.

Here is a news flash. Hell is a basic doctrine of Christianity, and most Christians believe that it's a real place. They don't just talk about it for the Hell of it. And since a large percentage of the world's population is Christian, u are likely to hear about Christian doctrine if u visit an open forum about religion.

So if u can't stand the heat stay away from Yahoo Answers R&A.

Galatians 3:28

"In Christ's family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal."
(Message Bible)

Yes it says the man is the head of the household...that is talking spiritually. Means the man is the one to pray over the kids and all that. Group prayers must have a leader to initiate and guide.

It also says this of women and wives "She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her." Proverbs 3:15

So why do you say my G-d's word is biased toward women? That really hurts me. I can't imagine how G-d feels when people twist His words into something it is not. He LOVES Women! And those who abuse women will feel His wrath.

Any thoughts? Has this cleared anything up? Changed any minds?

Blessings to you all

It's really getting awful to the point that it's not worth having a child enter into this world.. I mean with the war. I pray everyday for the troops, They are sacrificing so much for us and our freedom. But we also have our own war here. I mean think about it. You are a loud to beable to were clothing that has Evil on it, yet your not a loud to wear clothing with Christian things on it.. It's like we are being told that being Evil is a good thing? How is it that It's not ok to say the name of Jesus, but it's ok to say the name of Satan. Why are we glorifying that has no great morals for our kids or adult. If athest don't want to believe in Christ then that is their right at the same time it's our right to believe the way us Christians want. Jesus never shoved himself onto anyone, So why is Satan being shoved in our faces. How is this Right.

A general pershing ridded islamic terrorism in the philippines some decades ago by dipping his soldier's bullets into swine blood and shooting the captive muslims as a warning to the other muslims.

Thereafter, no more suicide bombing, and no more islamic terror.

Is this the way the world should deal with Islamic Terrorism? Perhaps a bill should be passed to inject all islamic terrorists with the blood of swine. Of course, once the bill is passed, just inform and go ahead with the injection, no need to announce for every swine injection. Those caught suicide bombing will have their body parts gathered and cremated with a full pig.

Sounds 'terrible', but if this works to defend America and her allies, WHY NOT?!

What do you think?

Can you answer my question first then read the following ,please.
I believe in God the creator, the eternal, the first, the last, the wise, the guide, the just, the judge, the pwerful, the sublim, the supreme, the merciful, the gracious, the lord of the univers, never sleeps, never dies , the one and only, he is in need of nothing and everything is in need of him, he doesnt need a son, he has no fathers, no wife, no childrens. he is the only deity that has the right to be worshiped, he is our savior, he is also severe in punishment, nothing is like him. if we can have kids, like animals do, God is different than us.
If God realy had a son , can we kill his only begotten son? If so we would not call him the most powerful.
How God didn't know that he will be killed.? if so we can't say that God knows the future.
then why he created us if he knew that his son will be killed? and can't God forgive our sins?
Note: I don't believe in this story. I am not trying to offend nobody, b

I have a question. I am a lifelong Catholic, and I have begun saying the rosary every day. However, my girlfriend questioned me about it, citing Matthew 6:7, which in the KJV Jesus says "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." How does the rosary hold up to this exhortation from Christ?

Earth we have time, it moves like a river, forward. If there is a heaven is there time? Is it a place where there is no forever, no time, no past or future, where you experience eternal present?

Forever seems like a LONG time, i would go crazy, even in heaven. Eternal present seems great, there is no forever.

Why do you (Christians) think that a scientific theory is a religion?

Religion origins if he did he would know what the Gnostic's, Ebonites, Jewish mystics, and people of Platonic thought spoke about in regard to scripture. Why do many people penis ride him when he doesn't even know about the nature of the church pre-Nicene?

Why doesn't he know about the Ante-Nicene Library? Why doesn't he know about the function of Gnostic thought and Platonic thought in the church, and that Gnostic thought was merely the spiritual.mystical esoteric reality of the Church where they discussed the mysteries and true meaning of scriptures beyond the superficial entry level, and that it was levels of instruction until they pass the requirements to be initiated into mysteries? Why does Richard Dawkins talk about religion from a point of view that knows little to nothing about the history of it? Or his question about if scripture is metaphors which is true? That is utterly foolish and only a person that knows little about these movements would say something like that.

I'm sorry, but I can't abide by this "man is the head of the household" BS the Christians seem to think is the only way to live. I was always taught that a husband and a wife were partners, equal in power in the household. I couldn't live with being subservant to my man. Do you know what would happen if I let him make all the decisions around the house? We'd have six Wiis but no food. We'd be hungry, cold, and probably on fire.

Ok, ok, he's not that bad, but you get the idea. :p

I love my guy, and I respect him, but I will never be subservent to him, and he would never expect me to be. We make all decisions together and face all problems side by side. Why do Christians think this is wrong?

Hello everyone.

I have noticed that there seems to be a trend in today's movies. The movies of today are very dark. The movies not only dabble in evil, but they are methods of teaching. Is there something going on, perhaps on a larger scale that has led to the production of these movies?
Young children watch these movies unknowingly planting seeds in their mind that will bear fruit...maybe not tomorrow, but sooner or later those hellish images will manifest themselves.
How can we teach children to be aware of what they let into their minds?

Shouldn't these Christians focus discussing religion with agnostics, who are open to the idea of god, instead of atheists, who don't believe in god?
