How's this solution for atheists who complain about someone telling them about Hell on Yahoo Answers R&S?

Stop visiting Yahoo Answers Religion and Spirituality if u don't like to hear about Hell.

Here is a news flash. Hell is a basic doctrine of Christianity, and most Christians believe that it's a real place. They don't just talk about it for the Hell of it. And since a large percentage of the world's population is Christian, u are likely to hear about Christian doctrine if u visit an open forum about religion.

So if u can't stand the heat stay away from Yahoo Answers R&A.

Telling us about hell is fine, if a question is asked.

Telling us we're going to hell is completely uncalled for, and goes pretty far against that whole "don't judge" thing.

As for Hell - Hell is a modification of Hades, which is the original church teaching on the subject. During the Dark ages, church leaders and others began changing teaching on the subject.

Milton and Dante (both writers of fiction) created the modern concept of Hell/Hades, and neither was endorsed by the church or advocated until later, and with un-christian motivations of controlling and frightening the poor.

Please, as St. Augustine taught - do not speak about that which you know little, for you embarrass God and the Church.

And I would note - not all religion, and not all spirituality is based on whatever your particular preacher teaches... and I suspect that he or she would be embarrassed by your apparent vitriol.

Sit with a minister, or spend some time in contemplation.

I have never seen someone write here directly about Hell, only tell others that they will go to this alleged place. That such a thing may happen might be (by some interpretations) a Christian doctrine, but it rarely answers any question asked here.

The numbers of atheists who've switched over to Christianity completely for this reason of being 'schooled' at Y!A, is staggering! very few return to Y!A with the aid of actuality they have chanced on that the Bible is the placement they are going to locate their ideas. So, you're caught with the atheists who proceed to be suitable right here in denial.

How about this. You are going to die. That is all. Not sleep, not onwards to heaven, no burning or banishment.
Just dead, like the limp lettuce in the bottom of the fridge. Your body will be put in the dirt to feed worms, or sent up in smoke.
The part that you think of as you, your mind, your immortal(?) soul will just disappear, gone like the flame blown off of a match. No dark night, absolute gone. Not even the sense of not being.
And there is nothing at all you can do about it everybody and everything dies, sooner or later but everything dies, and it is it, the end.

Atheists are generally well equipped to deal with hateful fools harassing them. It's what we expect from you Fundies. That's not to include Christians who actually live the lifestyle they preach about. But I've seen only a very few of them on Y! R&S. And they're not the ones telling us we're going to hell.

Frankly, we don't take you Fundies seriously. I liken your delusion to mental illness. And personally, I find you amusing. It's usually the Fundie Xians whining about how they'e being persecuted because the're not getting preferential treatment. Even though they're in the majority and still can't seem to hold their own in an argument. We're not going anywhere. Suck it up.

(P.S. Supposedly, compared to world population, Christianity isn't even that big... not when you add up all the rest... As of 2000, 67% was not of any Christian following...So if you don't like what the rest of us have to say then feel free to not be here.)

If you dont like criticism dont post in an open forum. You dont seem to mind trying to convert people to follow you but seem to complain when normal people try to save you from your delusions.

You actually worship a person that has supposedly said that should you cross them, they are never going to forgive you, they are going to torture you with the most horriffic sadistic pain imaginable year after year century after century and never ever forgive you.
