Jk Poet, how about some evidence? Know what that is? It's stuff you present to back up that BS that's flowing out of your mind.

I have always been baffled why these boneheads do not get this. I am straight. When I was a girl about 12 or so and began to have sexual feelings my brain and body responded to boys. I did not "choose" it. The same exact thing happens with gay people except they respond to the same gender. With all the homophobia and crap gay people have to put up with why in the world would anyone "choose" to be gay? To make their parents mad? That's ridiculous. It boggles my mind that these pea brains can not understand the fact that sexual orientation is not a choice.

The "gay gene" theory which was discredited by 1999. Even the Globe reported in a major article on Sunday, February 7, 1999, under the headline, "The Fading Gay Gene," that "The [gay] gene still has not been found, and interest in - and enthusiasm for, the 'gay gene' research has waned among activists and scientists alike. And there is a growing consensus that sexual orientation is much more complicated than a matter of genes."

In fact, much or most of the research is going the other way. The psychiatrist who was responsible for removing homosexuality from the disordered list of the American Psychiatric Society in 1973, Dr. Robert Spitzer, Chief of Biometric Research and Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University, has done studies which show that some homosexuals can and do change. "Like most psychiatrists," he says, "I thought that homosexual behavior could only be resisted and that no one could really change their orientation. I now believe that to be false. Some people can and do change."

I'm straight, but I know that when a guy is trying to sleep with a woman and his thingy won't stand up (if you get what I'm saying) no matter how hard he tries, then it's not a choice. His brain is choosing a woman (sort of) but his body isn't. That's why homosexuality is NOT a choice. It's biological and unchangeable. They've done studies on this.

In my view, you have to be at least a little bit gay to think its a choice. I think it is definitely NOT a choice since I could never make that choice under any circumstances.

Being gay; homosexual; or lesbian is a life choice. God did not create men and women that way. God created us to have a life partner of the opposite sex. Just look at nature for an answer. Plants and animals are sexed so as to replace themselves.

Your answers are also in the Bible. Start reading the Book of Genesis and continue straight through to Revelation. Its in the volume of the Book.

To answer the second part of your question: I did not need to make a conscious decision about my sexuality. I'm a Christian and have true knowledge through the Word of God of how I was made and for what purpose I'm here for.

You have many choices to make in this life, but this is not one of them.><>

It is a confirmed fact that heterosexuals actively "recruit" others into their lifestyle. They flaunt their chosen preference in bars and on the dating scene, even out on the street with public displays of attention. They hope their example affects the young. They openly ogle members of the opposite sex. They enjoy watching videos of other heterosexuals engaging in heterosexual sex. They will even make physical passes at younger members of the opposite sex and say things like, "C'mon, you know you want to."

Yeah, it all sounds pretty funny when you turn it around. Good question.

I made that choice the day I came to understand what a sin it was to be gay in accordance to my interpretation and belief in the Scriptures in Romans that speak of homosexuality as an "abomination".

There has been many peer reviewed studies that confirm a strong genetic factor in homosexuality. Those who discriminate against homosexuals are no better than racists. Ahhh, that about suits religion.
