The simple fact that they write rude nasty things about other religions show that they dont belong to any religion. A true follower will never condemn other religion to prove himself right. People using abusive language no matter whom they beleive are actually serving their own EGO.

I have never criticise another persons beliefs and as for swearing I have never swore in my life. The Christians that swear and abuse are not true Christians

No, people who are devout followers to a religion can certainly say very nasty things about other religions. It can also depend on the doctrine of the religion- for example, many proponents of Christianity have been known to denounce other religions in very intolerant ways.

On Y!A, I think most of the people who spout off about other religions are just immature kids who have no solid spiritual upbringing.

And yes, often it is the case that someone who condemns others (for ANY reason) is just feeding their own ego.

Neos: Right on !!! There are a lot of dysfunctional Christians out there and some bad theology to boot. Also, consider the fact that some respondents on this site are NOT Christians whatsoever, and like to agitate atheists or other faiths PRETENDING they are "Christians". Religion promotes nasty battles but spirituality, leaves the converting up to God (faith) to change people. Ego is a paradoxical outcome for those who think he or she has to act in the place of God to try and convert others. I am a Christian and have learned years ago, that any christian should be seen and not heard - unless asked. A real lack of faith is demonstrated by those who claim to have faith in God when he or she attempts to convert others.

A true follower will also accept the truth about his religion and its leaders rather than going on a rant about the ancestry of the person telling him that truth

Religion is a set of beliefs, and basically unproveable. You cannot prove a belief and I don't get why people try to do so.

cause they have faith and strong belief in their religion and their ideology is based on the followings of religious books, preaching and prayers of the religion they follow.
Few extremist do not understand and therefore can not stand the other ideology than the one he or she follows. one must keep them occupied in some work otherwise they result into threat to the society.

Amen. I wil present my argument when asked, but not resort to swearing or cutting up others. Ultimately it is their decision.

I have cut up Muslim religion before and I am sorry for that. Nobody is perfect. Just terrorism gets me hot.

they need to prove it for the same reason they defend the cars they buy, or other decisions they make. you are totally correct about the truly religious person--if you're sure you're correct, you have nothing to prove.

They aren't trying to prove their religion right, they're trying to prove themselves right
