There seems to be alot of mis-information on Einstein's belief in God. Here are a few facts...

1. Albert Einstein was raised Jewish.
2. Around the time Einstein was eleven years old he went through an intense religious phase, during which time he followed Jewish religious precepts in detail, including abstaining from eating pork. During this time he composed several songs in honor of God.
3.Einstein was opposed to atheism. He was quoted saying the following:
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
4.The Encyclopedia Britannica says of him: "Firmly denying atheism, Einstein expressed a belief in 'Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the harmony of what exists.'
5. Another quote by Einstein

'I want to know how God created this world, I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts, the rest are details.'
6. Einstein attended the 9th Church of Christ in New York.

attractive?
I have never seen.met,or have ever witnessed an attractive atheist.
All atheists I've ever seen are ugly as hell.
Are you mad at God for making you ugly?
Atheists all seem to be nerdy, wimpy, and repulsive. Why is This?
Can anyone prove I'm wrong?

After looking at a handful of the most popular religions in today's world, they all contain similar concepts. Life is sacrad. Every person is important. Killing a person is wrong. Hate is ignorant, a sin, evil, whatever. So forth and so forth.

If so many religions SAY this, why do veyr few people follow this mandate. I don't think i've seen any religious text that justifies collateral damage, and none that justifies mass killing of people.

No matter what religion you belong to, this applies. Some religions more than others, but all the same, it applies. Religious war and hate and conflict spreads like wildfire, but by doing so, you are defyign your own religion.

Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and all other religions, you teach peace, love, understanding and joy, then why do you not follow such an example.

I am tired of all the people who have been killed in the name of religion, why can't we stop it here, forever?

I am a muslim and I don't mean to sound negative towards christianity but:

1) If jesus was god then why did he worship god?

2) If jesus was god then why did he die?god can't die?

3) If he was the son of god why did god let his son die?

4) If he died for the sins of man kind then why is there a hell? sinse he died for the sins of man then sins shouldn't exist in man anymore after jesus.

I mean a person can do anything and still go to heaven according to this believe.

5) If jesus was the son of god then why is mary called the virgin mary?

6) If jesus was god or the son of god then why should humans try to be like him(we are human we can't be capable of following the teaching and triditions of a god or a son of god?

Just because he had many special powers doesn't mean he was the son of god. It just means that god gave him these powers without having him as a son.

I somehow have lost my way with my faith. I grew up believing in God, Catholic, enjoyed doing things with my church. Carried a bible with me through the Army's basic training and now somehow I have lost what I use to have. I don't have that faith or belief of a higher power anymore and I want it back.

I seem to want concrete proof of how God exists where I use to just rely on my faith. Somehow I lost it and I don't know if it's because of the people I have lost or things that have happened, that maybe I am blaming God. I don't know but I would like your insight.

Maybe you could share your insight or experience or knowledge. I would greatly appreciate your input.

Today scientists announced that they have found useful stem cells in the amniotic fluid of pregnant mothers. This method will completely avoid the religion-based "destruction of the zygot" concern. Will religious opponents of stem cells oppose this method as well?

the thought that a woman is totally giving it to you that gives the pleasure. Lets say if woman is totally hating you when in the act and you are badly hurt, is that still enjoyable. If one is still enjoying I guess he is totally gone case.
My understanding is that a thought that you have capped another girl for sex is what gives one a lot of pleasure. This I think even science agrees. It is inherent in every male mammal to dominate and make sure that every female gives birth to his progeny.
I personally experimented (not that I was hated) to see this while having sex with many women and I clearly found that there is no pleasure if you just involve in the act. I tried getting pleasure by purely involving in the physical act. There was nothing in it. Breast kneading or whatever the act. Just physical is totally non sense.
Then if this is true it boils down to nothing but ego experience and it can be obsessive.
My question. Is sex really that worthy if we look at it this way? More...

The temperature of heaven can be rather accurately computed. Our authority is the Bible, Isaiah 30:26 reads, Moreover, the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold as the light of seven days. Thus, heaven receives from the moon as much radiation as the earth does from the sun, and in addition seven times seven (forty nine) times as much as the earth does from the sun, or fifty times in all. The light we receive from the moon is one ten-thousandth of the light we receive from the sun, so we can ignore that. With these data we can compute the temperature of heaven: The radiation falling on heaven will heat it to the point where the heat lost by radiation is just equal to the heat received by radiation. In other words, heaven loses fifty times as much heat as the earth by radiation. Using the Stefan-Boltzmann fourth power law for radiation

(H/E)4 = 50
where E is the absolute temperature of the earth, 300°K (273+27). This gives H the absolute temperature of heaven, as 798° absolute (525°C).

The exact temperature of hell cannot be computed but it must be less than 444.6°C, the temperature at which brimstone or sulfur changes from a liquid to a gas. Revelations 21:8: But the fearful and unbelieving... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone." A lake of molten brimstone [sulfur] means that its temperature must be at or below the boiling point, which is 444.6°C. (Above that point, it would be a vapor, not a lake.)

We have then, temperature of heaven, 525°C (977°F). Temperature of hell, less than 445°F). Therefore heaven is hotter than hell.

Do you feel you have to believe in a higher power? Did you grow up with a faith in your life? Do you think it's important to believe in something?

What works for you?

The classic examples are various quotes about einstein's religious convictions and that he believed in god. This is simply not true, as he stated:

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it. "

http://www.sacred-texts.com/aor/einstein/einprayr.htm

There are a vast number of other examples mostly refering to evolution using grotesque falsehoods and deliberate misinformation.

Is religious belief so poorly founded that it has to resort to slander and lies to maintain itself? Surely this is against the teachings of most religions.

First of all, before I ask this I feel the need to say that I honestly don't mean to offend anybody with this. Whether you feel that you are a Muslim, an Atheist, a Christian, a Pagan, a Scientologist, an Agnostic, a Jew, a Chinese, a European, a man, a woman, a child, a dog or other animal, a life-guard, a police officer or any other job, whether you feel insecure, arrogant, silly, happy or sad, whether you are big, small, huge, tiny, fat, tiny, rich or poor. Whether you have one or two or three hands, straight, gay, bi-sexual, pedosexual, even if you're turned on by lawn mowers or watering cans...Really, I honestly, sincerely mean no offense with this.

Rats, again not enough space left to ask a real question.

Oh well. Do you also have the feeling that a religious section kinda loses its purpose if every question needs a long disclaimer because the basic assumption is that every question is meant to offend ?

Like maybe He was doing something else, and all this is just an unintended byproduct...or something like that?

I look forward to reading people thoughts. But I will ask that if you can't answer without flaming me, telling me I'll burn in Hell for considering this, or anything like that, please just find another question to answer.
