For those who take the bible literally, and believe every word to be true, i ask your take on this:

Genesis 2:7 NIV

"the LORD God formed the man [e] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. "

Is that not an argument stating that all living things become living when they take their first breath. Couldn't this mean that the fetus is not truly a living being?

Now, I realize christians will likely be pretty inflamed by this statement, but I am trying to spark an honest debate here. If you are going to take the bible literally, shouldn't you take all of it that way?

If you're answer is "You are taking that out of context" or "that is not what was meant", please save it as it has been heard.

A mega-church is defined as any church with more than 2,000 members. That makes mine--2,950--a mega-church. How many membes does your church have? How many actually show up on Sundays?

None of this b/s makes sense to me.
I am a Muslim, but have way to many questions about my own religion. to be honest with you, its not about chosing Islam or Christianity, its about chosing Islam or Science. Islam has taught me great things, but the only thing that doesnt make sense to me is the "FREEWILL" i mean, if God is so great, why not just put us all in heaven.WHY IS HE PLAYING A GAME WITH US? why do we have a choice in the first place. If God exists, I dont want a choice. I mean, if you really think about it, wouldnt it be better if there was no bad/evil, why did God created Evil in the first place. According to most of the religions, so many people will go to hell, but why??????????????? what if they hadn't commmited that crime in the first place.

and I dont even feel God around me. WHY??

and about the science, on the other hand, its got way to many holes and unexplained things.

They're together 20 years. They contribute financially to the well being of their town by donating heavily to Architectural Heritage programs and building a new addition to the local Library. They are the first to volunteer at the annual Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners for the poor. They care for their neighbors cats and dogs when the neighbors go on vacation. They are deeply spiritual and attend mass regularly. They are 2 gay men and they identify themselves as Catholic. The Church rejects them and issues edicts encouraging other Catholics to reject them. Are they Catholic?

I might be making a 3 minute television programme for a college project about "A Day in the Life of a Priest".

I would quite like to know what people THINK priests do all day, before I discover for myself what they actually do.
