For those who take the bible literally, and believe every word to be true, i ask your take on this:
Genesis 2:7 NIV
"the LORD God formed the man [e] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. "
Is that not an argument stating that all living things become living when they take their first breath. Couldn't this mean that the fetus is not truly a living being?
Now, I realize christians will likely be pretty inflamed by this statement, but I am trying to spark an honest debate here. If you are going to take the bible literally, shouldn't you take all of it that way?
If you're answer is "You are taking that out of context" or "that is not what was meant", please save it as it has been heard.

No. The Bible is our ordinary no longer peoples' deepest perspectives about issues. If the Bible says there's a hell and God would could deliver those who do no longer comprehend God and who do no longer obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ there, then it really is what is going to take position. no longer some thing ameliorations because someone in this life doesn't believe it. If someone stated, "i don't believe electrical energy passes from the nationwide Grid, by way of a skinny cord to my homestead, might want to that unbelief make it so? No it doesn't. and that is an similar with Christianity. God has specifically stated that Homosexuality is an abomination in His sight and many sinners received't enter God's kingdom, consisting of liars and drunkards and homosexuals etc. (a million Corinthians 6: 11). we received't go round making up our own regulations as Christians. God has laid down the ordinary in His be conscious, and by no ability some thing a lot less wil do. Abortion is homicide of an unborn toddler. If that were no longer so, then in case your mom, as an example had aborted you as a foetus, you doesn't be asking this question on Y/A at present. you would possibly want to be useless, murdered by way of your mom. human beings continuously pick to water down God's be conscious or justify it someway. It received;'t change the info. real Born lower back, Spirit-filled Christians comprehend that each comprehend God is real and may be adhered to. There are those who call themselves Christians who disagree with God's be conscious. we received't say we settle for God yet do no longer settle for His be conscious. it really is an insult to God Almighty and it really is blasphemy.

No where does the Bible say someone isnt living until they take their first breath, breathing life into Adam is how life started. John the Baptist lept for joy in his mother's womb when Mary told his mother about the baby (Jesus) she was carrying. Do you think God or anyone else thought he wasnt alive?
Very weak argument.

The creation of Adam was a non-standard, one time event.
Human child birth is the process God prescribes for all others, and the Church teaches definitively that life begins the moment a living soul is infused into the child, at conception.

God gave us life and by His breath and word, it was done so. A fetus IS a living being. If an unborn child was not living, how could it grow inside a mother's womb for 9 months and be born? If an unborn child was NOT living, how could it develop for nine months, then breathe and cry when it's born? It would be stillborn if it wasn't alive in a mother's womb.

i agree. people must take in to considerationthat teh bible was written before we knew that teh fetus breathed through tube inthe womb. so in the olden time, your first breath would be when you are born.
it also depends on your take of litterally. this could mean that they have to take it with or without all of the medical advances. without means that abortion isn't bad, and with means it is.
i'm running myself in circles, but there always is to run around. loopholes are created by the writters of laws and things so they can do what they what morally and legaly. the first breath could be a loop hole.

In the same sense, A fetus would not be a person. A person would be made from the dust on the ground. So anyone who was ever born is not a person.

A Fetus has a beating heart. Sorry but your argument to justify murder is a weak one at best.
Abortion being murder is not a religious matter but a matter of humanity. If I was an Atheist I'd still be Pro-life as I'm against the murder of anyone.
