Well it's not just Muslims that practice circumcision.
In answer to your question: They do it because it is cleaner (more hygenic) as the Prophet Muhammad(saws) taught.

Circumcision is surgical removal of the foreskin. It is a controversial procedure ordinarily performed only on infant males. Circumcision was devised as a means of preventing masturbation. Some people, such as Jews and Muslims, perform circumcision for religious reasons. Circumcision practice varies widely among Christians. It is for the most part not a religious practice among Christians but is done for cultural reasons. Although preventing masturbation is not important to very many people anymore, some advocate circumcision because it makes it less work for the caregiver to clean the baby's penis. Most Christians in western Europe no longer practice circumcision. Circumcision is still common among North American Christians. Practice in the rest of the world varies.

*Logical Answer*
Because to make their body clean so that they can offer their prayer with cleaniness
It is not harmful because muslims are surviving without their 1/4 skin of the penis and in every religion we see that this type of task is been performed like holes in ears, tattos on body etc and cutting of penis is as painful as an insect bites you, like in every religion system they belive and follow theirs elders,Muslims do the same and this can also be a one reason that they cut their penis

Muslims have good excuse that they keep it clean. No No No. There would be others reason behind, now you have changed it because to avoid to face direct controversy from the people who have good questions. Do You think God was stupid who gave this extra skin on every one penis. My thought is people who cut it ,have short penis while the time of erection. Most woman do not like small in length and small in diameter. That's why day the day most Muslim woman are attracting toward non-muslim mens. If i hurt any one, please forgive me

Male circumcision is one of the important rites in Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said, "There are five things that are of the nature (i.e., of the natural hygiene): removing the pubic hair, circumcision, trimming the mustache, removing the underarm hair, and cutting of the nails" (reported in all the six authentic collections of Hadith).

Circumcision enables one to easily clean his private part. The foreskin of the penis usually gathers some urine in its sac.

Jurists have differed on the issue of circumcision with regard to both males and females.

Concerning male circumcision, Imam Abu Hanifah and Imam Malik maintain that it is considered a confirmed sunnah, whereas Imam Shafi`i and Ahmad ibn Hanbal see that it is mandatory (wajib).

This means that male circumcision is an important ritual in Islam. Consequently, if a whole community of Muslims agreed to give up this ritual, the ruler of the Muslims would have to fight them for this, the same as if a community collectively abandoned calling to Prayer (Adhan).

From the medical point of view, circumcision has many benefits for man’s health and personal hygiene.

First, circumcision helps the penis remain clean. Microorganisms flourish in the warm, moist area under the foreskin, leading to a foul odor and infection.

Second, circumcision reduces the possibility of the penis becoming infected with syphilis, especially since the foreskin is the place where the germ breeds.

Third, the foreskin is most likely to be exposed to inflammation due to repeated friction, especially during sexual intercourse.

Fourth, it has been proved that circumcision (especially during the first five years of life) also reduces the incidence of penile cancer.

Fifth, circumcision helps man prolong the period of erection. This is because the nerves related to sexual stimulation are mostly located at the head of the penis. If the foreskin is present, it would prevent the penis' head from constant touch with other materials, which makes the penis sensitive to any kind of touch. When the foreskin is removed, the head of the penis becomes less sensitive due to its repeated friction against clothing.

The medical benefits of male circumcision prove the wisdom of Islam in emphasizing the importance of this practice.
