That's cute! I used to wonder that, too.
He was just showin' the way for the rest of us, but we are stubborn and don't take his advice.
Look, if we did. The Bible says that he surveyed the wonders of the world and found that they were good. And then on the 7th day he rested.
But instead of doin' that, so many people don't look around to see what they already have is good, before they run right back out without looking at anything first!
Just to earn the money, so they can get more. So they can have to pay for it, so they need to earn more, so they can buy more, so they can earn more, and so on and so on, etc, etc..!
Is this what God really intended for us to do?!
No! Stop and smell the flowers once in a while! Not so bad sometimes to realize there is a higher wisdom then us ourselves.

He just wanted to watch some football. Things worked fine until the d@mned Christians decided to make him work every Sunday because of their stupid church services. That is what forced God to create Monday Night Football.

HE wasn't tired. HE did it as an example to us to rest for our sakes. It gives us a day to do nothing but commune with HIM.

At the end of each bar of music there is a REST!
It means ""STOP".
It does not necessarily mean to lie down and have a snooze!
