Do they think their religion makes it OK to murder people that don't share their beliefs?

Before you answer, please read...

Don't you think that if you were born into Islamic religion that you would believe that instead? If you haven't read the Quran, then your how do you know that the Christian religion (of the 3 Abraham religions -Islam, Judaism, Christianity) is the right one? And if you haven't read the Bible then you really have some issues.

What makes you believe in Jesus and not Zeus? They are both ancient gods and there is no reason or proof to believe in one or the other!!! Not one shred of evidence! You are atheist, just to let you know, 99% at least. Out of the thousands of gods you choose one, why? Why not just go one god further?

So many claim that Hell is the grave.
WRONG!
It is indeed a place of eternal suffering for sinners!
Matthew 16:24-"...for I am tormented in this flame!"
Preachers of the "grave" doctrine may find themselves
in Hell with other blasphemers!
God Bless!

This is a huge country. I am so sorry that we are judged by a lunatic president, who did not have the popular vote and should not have even been elected.

I truly believe that the brainwashed fundies are in the minority. Most of us are against religion in our government.

Do any Americans agree? I am agnostic deist myself. As far as IQ, I am certainly not a brain surgeon.

Opinions?

If you believe in God's sovereignty, he has already chosen His own from eternity, and their salvation is already secured.

If you believe in free will, what's the use? God doesn't have any power over anyone's decision. All they get is an offer.

They both: Commit Genocide, only God wiped out the whole earth.
They both killed little babies, yet god got EVERY one of them in Egypt.
They both had a taste for torture.

Oh, yes: THERE FOLLOWERS both followed them because their actions were not morally right, but because the fear of power from the dictator.

I'm sorry. I try to have respect for christians but through practicing their religion they are showing the feebleness of their minds, and if ever a dictator ever started brainwashing the masses, you know they'd be the first to follow behind with their tails wagging.

The answer is a clear "YES".

In Islam, everything Muhammad did stands as the perfect example for all humanity to follow, now and forever. Thats why Muslims wear beards like Muhammad and wipe like him, because the Quran claims Muhammad's conduct is the roadmap to heaven.

ISLAMIC SCRIPTURE ON POINT:

Sahih bukhari, book 73: volume 8, book 73, number 182:"allah's apostle was on a journey and he had a black slave called anjasha, and he was driving the camels" http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/073.sbt.html#008.073.182

“i came and behold, allah's apostle was staying on a mashroba (attic room) and a black slave of allah's apostle was at the top if its stairs.” http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/091.sbt.html#009.091.368

“…'aisha further said, "once the prophet was screening me and i was watching the display of black slaves in the mosque and ('umar) scolded them.” http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/015.sbt.html#002.015.103

do people get so angry and vindictive when someone questions their beliefs? It's obvious that no two people believe the same thing, there are over 6 billion religions in the world (this is true because we all define reality and god differently). This makes me wonder if anger is an acitve part of all religious and spiritual pursuits. If this is true then what is the function of anger that it should bring us closer to the one truth that connects us all? Maybe we are all a beautiful dance of the darkness and light in a place where there can be no right or wrong.

How come everyone has to look down on people of different religion?? Ive seen so many posts about Athiest people with in the last hour. Im not Athiest but I am Pagan. I dont look down on Athiest, or Christians or anyone with a different religion, so why does so many people here have to?? If you are against something fine, keep it to yourself, why do you have to post your comments about people burning in hell?? No one has the power to judge others. No one is perfect. Just like no one knows what religion or what God is the right one, and no one knows what religion is wrong.

I have at times considered myself an athiest... I don't believe that's correct I am open to the idea of God, but still wrestle with it. The heaven/hell dicotomy gives me particular trouble.

If God is omnipotent he knows the outcome of all things. He knows which of his "children" will make decisions that will (if you believe in the bible) end in descent into hell. Now I know with my own children I would do almost anything to protect them, so I chose a different view of God.
If God is omnipotent, then perhaps this isn't a do or die scenario, maybe this is a learning opportunity. God could forgive all of us.

I also don't believe in Jesus Christ as diety born of immaculate conception. He was a great man who began a revolt against many inequities he saw, but he was a man.
I don't believe in the bible. Old or New testament.
So where do I fall in the spectram?
