This is a huge country. I am so sorry that we are judged by a lunatic president, who did not have the popular vote and should not have even been elected.

I truly believe that the brainwashed fundies are in the minority. Most of us are against religion in our government.

Do any Americans agree? I am agnostic deist myself. As far as IQ, I am certainly not a brain surgeon.

Opinions?

i definitly agree. religion should have absolutly no role in how are government is run, its decitions, or its policys. do i think we should rip the word "god" out of our money? NO. do i think we should remove "one nation under god?" from our pledge? NO! people think that this is religion in government. give me a break these are the founding motos of our ansestors who founded this damn country. leave it be. now if george B wants to fire bomb a country because it is not protostant, that is the kind of crap we can't allow. that is the seperation. i just wish people would understand that. by the way i am atheist, and a US Soldier. enjoy.

A minority perhaps, but unfortunately a large minority. Read Sam Harris's letter -- 30-50% of the country believes in things like creationism, the literal word of the Bible, and whatnot.

I think we're moving in the right direction though. Nothing undermines the credibility of the religious right like the presidency of George W. Bush.

I am a born again Christian and think you need to show some respect and tolerance for people if you desire that it be reciprocated!
