"Ye are temples of the living God"?

I'm sorry I don't have the verse off-hand, but could someone please clarify this statement if it was indeed made by St. Paul?

Someone told me that it means that God resides within us, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks Christians!!

There's nothing in the bible about gay ferrets, so I'm not sure about this. Do you think God would approve?

Let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God [Exodus 18:21]. . . . If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted . . . If our government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the Divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the laws. [Noah Webster, The History of the United States (New Haven: Durrie and Peck, 1832), pp. 336-337, 49]

Carefully written words on paper that were then bound with string, wrapped in silk and sewn up. This was found between some weather boards when renovating. I'm wondering what it is and if it has religious significance. Should I leave it where I found it?

. . .who do not know the Bible slander it and say that it is evil?
Their tactics are ridiculous,
taking things out of context, looking for errors when they're not even there, saying that the Bible promotes "hate" and "male chauvinism" and "homophobia" and this and that.
No it doesn't.
God is love, not hate. God made man and woman equally, not man superior. God hates sin, not the sinners.
It's humans who have taken the Bible and twisted what it says to suit their own agendas, e.g. Inquisition, Hitler. . .
The Bible is not the cause of our woes, nor is God. We are the cause.

Obviously our beliefs are varied and inherently different, but can you name one issue that you feel everyone should be united on?
-for example: combatting global warming

(I am just getting tired of all the divisive thinking and wanted people to share some things that everyone can agree on)

Please? Do any of you know God? Why is he snubbing me? Everyone says prayer works, well phooey on that! I refuse to believe until I get my spidey man suit! I even tried asking Jesus' brother Santa Claus, and he won't do it either!

Every Jew is commanded to live in the Land of Israel, and according to Nachmanides (No. 33:53) this Mitzvah is counted as one of the 613 commandments.

My question: why do not all believing Jews moving to Israels to fulfill this Mitzvah?

Please don't get me wrong, I do not want to offend anybody, but when it comes up the the "holy land" and 'chosen people" Israelis go by the book, what about to fulfill the 613 commandments?

Serious answers will be appreciated.

The Episcopal Church and the ELCA are in full communion, but the ELCA does not have apostolic succession, while the Episcopal Church believes apostolic succession is necessary for valid sacraments. How can they be in full communion???

I highly doubt God is going to bring in only the Christians, and have every other religion burn in hell! That's just dumb and a waste of a lot of other good people that never even looked towards the devil and assumed he's the right path, why would God even do that to those who don't want anything to do with the Devil? Just because they aren't tagged with the label of Christianity?? B.S.!!

Think about it. People keep saying that God is against cloning and that doing it is an act against God. So let us say that we can clone a cow (for example). By cloning this cow we now have food for starving children and a way of increasing food production for the entire world. Do you really think that God would prefer to let people starve than feed them meat from a cloned animal? Doesn't this make people who say "God is against cloning" sound ridiculous?

But how do you know that he is chosen? Because he says so?
I mean some say that but then we find out they are gay, lies and cheats and steals. Then we say he is sorry.
So how do you know when someone is really from God?

Why not go one god further? There is no proof of any religion being truer or more likely than another, just blind belief, denying reason and logic.

Christians will say that other religions are nonsense, without realizing that their own religion is just as weird, make-believe, and unprovable.

Why don't good people live forever now? I mean why do they have to die and wait for a resurrection. If the bad people die and good people didn't eventually the earth would be all good people?
Right? The meek would inherit the earth.
