They store up a year's worth of food.
They wear special underwear once they've been to temple.
They prefer to be called Latter Day Saints.
The church is called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
They believe Joseph Smith is a prophet.
Their holy books are the bible and the Book of Mormon.
They believe the Book of Mormon was compiled at the direction of god by Mormon and passed to his son Moroni, who buried the book in New York state after his people had been destroyed.
They consider themselves Christians, but not a part of any particular sect of Christianity.
They believe: As man is, God once was. As God is, man will become.

Well, they believe in the Bible and also the Book of Mormon written by Joseph Smith, the person they believe to be their prophet (I think). He was led to some place in America where these golden plates were either buried or discovered; Joseph translated them and that's how the Book of Mormon was created.

LDS also believe if you are married on earth, that marriage continues in heaven. They treat their bodies well and do not drink, some, take caffeine. They believe in full immersion for baptism. They send their youth (males at 18 for 2 years; females at 19 (I think) for 1 year to go on missions and spread their word.

That's all I can think of right now. I'm not an LDS; I'm a Christian.

Mormons were founded by a man named Joseph Smith. He claimed to be visited by angels that told him that no Church at that time was right.
He claimed that the angel Moroni told him to dig up a set of golden plates to be found in a hill in upstate Ny. He later translated them into the book of mormon.
In 1844 Joseph and his brother were killed and then Brigham Young became the leader and led the people to what is now Utah.
Mormons believe that God was once a man who progressed into being God and that all men in the mormon religion can do the same. They also believe that before a person is born on earth that they were spirit babies waiting for families. Only the best spirit babies go to faithful mormons. Another belief is that people who have died who are not mormons are in a spirit prison waiting for someone to release them by being baptised in their name.
This doctrine is called baptism for the dead.

Quite a bit. What would you like to know?

The Mormon church is one of the very few Christian denominations that claim to be a restoration of the ancient church Jesus established while he walked the earth. Most all other Christian churches have been splintered off from the Catholic church as they sought to reform church doctrine in one way or another. Mormons believe the Church set up by Jesus, as well as the Priesthood authority used to guide the church and perform necessary ordinances, became polluted and eventually lost from the earth shortly after the death of Christ's Apostles. Apostasy followed. Ordinances were changed, doctrines were distorted, and priestcraft entered the church. Even good men seeking pure doctrine and ministers called of God were unable to do so. Many good intentioned men tried setting up their own churches yet lacked the authority to properly perform priesthood ordinances. Because of this falling away, Mormons believe it was necessary to restore the true church and not merely reform one that already existed. Mormons believe that a man named Joseph Smith was called to be a latter day prophet just like Moses, Abraham, and John the Baptist. As a prophet, Joseph received instruction from God on how to organize His church. Angelic messengers (John the Baptist and Peter James and John) restored the holy priesthood enabling proper ordinances to be performed within the church (i.e baptism, ordination, confirmation, blessings, etc.). Also as a prophet, new scripture was revealed to and translated by Joseph Smith. Missionaries were organized to share the message that the gospel had been restored.

Today, Mormons still believe they have a prophet called of God who leads and guides their church. They believe in the bible, they believe in Jesus Christ, they believe in an afterlife and many other things.

I would suggest visiting - www.lds.org - if interested in finding out more details about Mormon beliefs.

I know that they perform satanic rituals in the high levels of the religion. They baptize people in the name of dead people, hoping to save their souls after the fact. I know that only in the last 20 years or so did they recognize black people as humans worthy of their company. And they can't drink warm beverages. Oh ,yeah, and who can forget the holy underwear? :)

I know that they have a great family oriented lifestyle, one thing that Christians could really learn from them.

You can go to www.lds.com you get the poop from their website or go to www.saintsalive.com to get ot from ex-mormons. You can get it from me to. They claim to be Christians, but none are saved, they have paganism and fremasondry int heir religion. They have mason temples, but claim they are for religions rituals purposes, like babtism for the dead and eternal marriages. They believe that God was marriade to the virgin Mary in the pre-existance. That Jesus and Satan are spiritual brothers. They have their own KJV Bible that has stuff added in it, like Cain's curse was black skin. they have extra books like the book of Mormon, and the pearl of great price. They believe that God was once man and that man can become God and hat you are saved by works and most of them are depressed. Ect.
