God is a friend, he listens to any and everything we have to say. Don't look for a special way to pray, just start talking. Go on your knees, and tell him how greatful you are to be alive and to see another day, thank him for all your senses, thank him for all the joy in your life that you neglect to see. Do be afraid, tell him the bad things that might have happen in your life that you might be ashame of and ask him to forgive you, you will be forgive, keep praying and praying is having a relationship with God, talk to him in good or bad times.
I have heard so many situations of people who were divorce with children to support, not a clue where the next cent was coming from, bills in arrears, landlord on the verge of kicking them out, and they held on with faith in God through pray which is constantly talking with God in their hearts that things would get better and they did.
The thing is my friend, when we pray, we speak to God in our hearts of our fears, delimas, hopes and dreams. God hears prays whether you might think that your prays are not answered, they might not be answered right away, but they will be answered, whether in a day, month, or year. Just keep talking with God there is no special way to pray just keep talking, in the car, while you shower, at work or school, any and every possible place you can imagine. Walk in footsteps, have a clean spirit, keep his commandments and I am talking from experience. GOD ANSWER ALL PRAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do it the Buddhist way. breath correctly focus on emptying your mind. Detach from all the noise of your daily work. learn to breath the Buddhist way and learn to focus on you chant and meditation. Push out the cravings and worries. Detach and focus on the very moment. Sometimes little flame of a little will help you at first. sometimes a gong or brass bell is rung to sharpen the focus for those who lose focus. The flame and the bell are very important to a novice like me. God may not ever speak to you but god hears everything. go in peace. think, wait and fast.
Discipline and self reliance is more important than most people can imagine. human misery stems from cravings said the original Buddha., Gottama. It is a good way, a wise way. Consider the way.

This is the best way, and required in all Prayers
[001.001] In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
[001.002] All the praises and thanks be to God, the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
[001.003] The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
[001.004] The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)
[001.005] You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).
[001.006] Guide us to the Straight Way
[001.007] The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger , nor of those who went astray.
That is Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening) from the Holy Quran.
Peace Be With You

Speak to God with ALL your heart with sincerity. There is a passage of scripture that says Seek Me with all your heart and you will find me. Im not sure of where you stand with God as your question is not too detailed. But wherever you are at when you search for God, you will find Him. There really arent special words that can be taught, its just being sincere when seeking Him. I know this because this is how I found Him, I began to look, took into account all the different versions of God I was hearing and when I was ready for myself and looked for Him , he was there and the truth of his presence was undeniable. God knows where your at, so open your heart to Him and Him alone and you will find Him. God Bless you on your spiritual endeavor.

First there must be no sin in your life which you haven't repented of and confessed to God. Unrepentant sin keeps our prayers from reaching God. Second you need to place your faith in the promises of God's Word that He does hear and answer your prayers. Unbelief also prevents our prayers from reaching God. Third, base your prayers on The Lord's Prayer. By this I don't mean repeating The Lord's Prayer over and over. Jesus gave us this prayer as an example to follow. Meditate on this prayer one line at a time, one word at a time. Prayer is simply our way to converse with the Lord God who created all things. Fourth, pray in and through the name of Jesus Christ for this is what the Bible teaches. Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between God and man and the only way to receive salvation. If you have not received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour then the only prayer of yours which God will listen to is the prayer of repentance in which you confess your sinfulness to God, ask His forgiveness for those sins, exclaim your belief and faith in the perfect sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ and His resurrection and ask Jesus to come into your heart and change you into a new creation by filling you with His Holy Spirit.

Sometimes when I pray I bow my head...other times I look up into the sky. I think if you truly want the Big G to hear your prayer, the Big G does. I usually talk outloud when I am wanting my prayer to be heard by the Big G...not everyone believe this is the way. Now, how the Big G answers is not always according to our plan and sometimes the answer comes in unexpected ways.

accept Jesus as your personal Lord and savior.Praise Him for who He is.confess all your sins.ask forgiveness.(1 john 1:9)
Thank Him for the blessings you received not only physical, material but also spiritual.Thank Him for being your savior.righteousness is essential...pray with pure motive in your heart.humble yourself before God.surrender everything to Him.Sometimes we don't know how to start and what to pray but the Holy Spirit gives you utterance.tell whatever your need.Prayer is a communication to God.and It is very important to have our devotional time in prayer. Before you end thank Him again."Lord thank you and i give you back all the praises, glory and adoration for i ask all these things in Jesus name,Amen.Pause for a few minutes.Lord i finish the talking now it's your turn to speak with me.Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you in the Bible.Take care and God Bless!

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:13-14 KJV HOLY BIBLE

All praying is is talking to God. He always hears your prayers. There is not a special way to pray that has to meet some requirement for him to hear you.
