How come everyone has to look down on people of different religion?? Ive seen so many posts about Athiest people with in the last hour. Im not Athiest but I am Pagan. I dont look down on Athiest, or Christians or anyone with a different religion, so why does so many people here have to?? If you are against something fine, keep it to yourself, why do you have to post your comments about people burning in hell?? No one has the power to judge others. No one is perfect. Just like no one knows what religion or what God is the right one, and no one knows what religion is wrong.

I dont think Im better then anyone, and I am not trying to present myself as above anyone. I just dont understand how we can judge so many people, when we dont know who they are. Look at it this way, if a doctor saves a life of someone, and you find out that they are Athiest, are you going to tell that doctor that they are going to burn in hell. Or say its the same thing but the doctor is Pagan are you going to tell them that they do the work for the devil??

Because they seem to think that thier God has spoken to them and told them to put you down for others beliefs, personally, I know that I am going to the great land in the sky, whether I am Pagan, Muslim, Christian, etc. Because I am a good person, and I don't need a tag or a label to represent my religion, all I need to do is be a good person and good to others, and well, if God can't respect that, then maybe I don't need to be there, there are too many religions out there and too many people thinking that their religion is the right one, I highly doubt God is going to bring in only the Christians, and have every other religion burn in hell! That's just dumb and a waste of a lot of other good people that never even looked towards the devil and assumed he's the right path, why would God even do that to those who don't want anything to do with the Devil? Just because they are tagged with the label of Christianity?? B.S.

Thats because the christians are taught to think only in terms of right and wrong. IF you are right thinking (like them) then you are a christian. If you're wrong thinking then you're an athiest - no ifs, ands or buts.
Christians are not told about the other options such as Deism, Paganism etc. If they do get mentioned, they usually get lumped in with the athiests.
Christians are not allowed to keep their beliefs to themselves.
It says in the new testament some rule that says they must "go out into the world (or to all the corners of the world) and preach the gospel" - paraphrased - its been a long time since I last read any bible.
I do agree with you - I wish they would shut up, and keep their religion to themselves.

I guess it was a rhetorical question. I agree that someone claiming to "know" that another is going to burn in hell is not just impolite, he or she is delusional. Most times these someones are marginalized, but not necessarily and not always. It is not so much the fundamentalist converts I worry about. It is the ones pulling their strings. I don't for one minute believe that the string-pullers believe, deep down, in what they're shoveling. How could they? They're smart enough to manipulate people into their belief system. I just question their motivational agenda. It isn't because god told them to do it. If it is, we're back at delusional. "God told me to do it" doesn't stand up in a court of law when you just drowned your 5 kids in the bathtub (true story), but a reasonable concern is that it just MIGHT be a defense to murder some day. That should be a concern to rational people, in my opinion.

There is only one religion that says that it's not about how many good works you do that determines your eternal destiny. But rather it says that you must accept and believe in the fact that God sent his son to die for your sins when you couldn't save yourself.
Every other religion is focused on works or pleasing some 'god'. That's what makes Christianity different. Now there is either a God that sent his son down to earth to save mankind (and expects that people turn from their sins and believe in God alone for their salvation in order to be spared from Hell) or there is not.
Time itself will tell what the answer to that is. If you are so proud and arrogant that you cannot acknowledge to God that he made the sacrifice he did (the equivalent of one of us going and being an ant in an ant colony for 33 years) then you can't expect that if God does exist he's going to have any mercy on you after you die. I mean come on... God isn't asking for much here... you can't blame him for being mad over your unbelief and lack of thankfulness. How would you feel if you gave the most precious gift in the world to someone and they just threw it back in your face and said I don't want it? What would you expect God to do?
Either God's word is true or it is not. And if it is true the God exists then so does the Devil and Hell.
It's really as simple as that. It has nothing to do with how many rules you follow or whether or not you go to church either.
So, pick whatever side you want and either choose to believe in God or don't, and then accept the consequences that go with that. Yes, when we're talking about eternity it is a high stakes game... so pick your side wisely.

"Just like no one knows what religion or what God is the right one, and no one knows what religion is wrong"
It's not true at all. True believers believe in their own religions. As a Muslim, I believe that there is no god but The God (Allah).
God knows best.
Peace and Love.

I so very much agree with you.
I live by this little saying .....whatever brings you peace and contentment and doesn't hurt anyone else is fine with me. I believe all people are basically good so we should stop trying to "fix" each other.
There are enough "wrongs" in this world that we need to addess and "religion" in my opinion is the least of them.
End of sermon....LOL

the problem when it comes to religion is that it divides and segregates each other from one another as some people tend to be closed minded and cold hearted towards one another and judgemental towards one another unfortunately some people look at each other by what their religious or nonreligious beliefs are instead of looking at each other as human beings because at the end of the day we are all human beings by the way i'm agnostic

Good one ....There's good and bad in everything, but people like to talk about the bad rather then the good.
It shouldn't be the people that make the religion, it should be the religion that make the people.

Yes, you are right. You do not even want to be with God, so why should you feel bad for people to be wanting to be with God. God gave us free will and He will respect our choices. Let's us all get along while here. : )

Those who make fun of others because they are different from them need our care and concern. We need to pray for these people so that they can see the error of their way.
I believe that God loves everyone and we who know about Gods wonderful love need to share it with others.
