I have served in the Army and got out and started going to church again and really started being a follower of Jesus. I am considering going into the Marines...but, Marines are trained to kill, kill, kill. That doesn't sound very Christian.

What will change in the Church in the coming decades? Will priests be allowed to marry? Will woman be able to become priests? Will membership increase? Will it Decline? What do you want to see happen? What do you NOT want to see happen? What do you predict will happen? I think that the next 50 years will be very interesting, exciting, trying, and inspiring for the church.

Does your belief, or non-belief, influence (postitively or negatively) your usage of phrases such as "What the hell...", "God knows", "Thank God", etc.?

forever. I am NOT GAY. I repeat, I am not Gay. It is completely imoral so I will walk with the one that means Everything to me. I agree that I have a lot of work but... VERY VERY worth it.

...Shoot people who continually repeat inaccuracies and flat-out lies about scientific theories (which they probably heard from their preachers, who I'm sure are experts) as well as logical fallacies to support their religion? Those people are annoying, and let's face it, the rest of us would be much happier without them.

I hear many times by people that those who believe in witchcraft and/or magick are either "childish" or "retarded". It's very funny when someone who prays or believes in a higher power says this...

Definition of "Superstition":

"a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge, in or of the ominous significance of a particular thing, circumstance, occurrence, proceeding, or the like."

"irrational fear of what is unknown or mysterious, esp. in connection with religion"

Im overwhelmed with irony.

My question..

Who are these people to say that someone elses superstitious beliefs are anymore "retarded", "childish", or "wrong" than their own superstitious beliefs? Do they believe other superstitious people are "retarded" because their superstition says they are?

Hello, I was in a Catholic forum trying to explain to this lady who was once an SDA but departed the faith to become a Catholic..she seems very stubborn and I was wondering if anyone could help me show her the truth the right way. She seems to be reaching out seeking something, but mostly in a huge denial of the Sabbath etc.

I dunno if I should just give up on her or what, but I felt compelled to try my best to explain the Sabbath truth and Bible prophecies to her, but I do not feel I am doing a very good job as she is coming up with all sorts of excuses, like the date 538 A.D. is not the correct date of the 1260 day prophecy.

This is how she tried to explain 538 A.D. as a flawed date of the 1260 day prophecy:

There are many places I find flaws. One of them, the use of the year 538 a.d. for the 'establishment' of the papacy. Research it, and you will find the only groups seriously using that as a date for the establishment of the papacy are groups supporting Adventist views of prophecy interpretation. Among the many problems with the date:

It was not the year Code of Justinian was given.
It was not the first such proclamation or edict.
It changed nothing about the papacy not already established by earlier laws.

If anyone would be willing to help me explain to her the forum is here:

Thanks!

I'm Protestant and our church doesn't celebrate Christmas because it's not a correct date. That also means no decorations, or trees nothing at all. So, I was wondering do all Protestants do this or just some?

I got a miniature Buddha for Christmas. I was told to rub his belly everyday for good luck and to keep a tray or something next to him and every day throw a dime into the dish. What do I do when the tray gets full?

Does any one have any true stories they can share with me about supernatural experiences and occult phenomena that they have witnessed? Are there any websites out there that document things of that nature witnessed by more than just one person?

There are at least 1,049 protections, benefits & responsibilities extended to married couples under Federal law, according to a 1997 study by the General Accounting Office. Gay & lesbian couples pay higher taxes and are denied basic protections under the law.

They receive no Social Security survivor benefits upon the death of a partner, despite paying payroll taxes. They must pay Federal income taxes on their employer’s contributions toward their domestic partner’s health insurance (married employees do not have to pay such taxes for their spouses).

They must pay all estate taxes when a partner dies. They often pay significant tax penalties when they inherit a 401(k) from their partner. They are denied family leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act.

CIVIL UNIONS DO NOT PROVIDE ANY OF THESE RIGHTS. And under current Federal law, neither will state-permitted same-gender marriages.

Isn't this Heterosexual Privilege? How is Gay Marriage a "special right"?

I NEED YOU MORE

I need You more

More than yesterday

I need You Lord

More than words can say

I need You more

Than ever before

I need You Lord

I need You Lord

More than the air I breathe

More than the song I sing

More than the next heartbeat

More than anything

And Lord as time goes by

I’ll be by Your side

‘Cause I never want to go back

To my old life
