The gift of the Holy Spirit is for everyone. If you are baptised in the Holy Spirit, you will be empowered to use the gifts of the Holy spirit. One of which is speaking in tongues. Anyone can pray in tongues if they are baptized in the Holy Spirit.

First of all you need to be a born again believer in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Maschiach) and be baptized. Secondarily you have to be baptized in the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha Kodesh) and along with the baptism of the Holy Spirit you may have a holy language along with many other gifts of the spirit. But first, you need to be a Christian, that is the basis of all gifts of the spirit.

People can "do" anything when they are hypnotised. Ask hypnotised non-German speakers to speak in German and they will speak in a jibberish that they think sounds like German. Ask hypnotised born again Christians to speak in tongues and they will speak in a jibberish that they think sounds like an exotic language. Under hypnosis one's imagination takes over. It's amusing when a stage hynotist gets people to do strange things. However it's outrageous that evangelical pastors are using hypnosis to convince naive believers that the Holy Sprit is in them.
