My mother in law is a Jehovah's Witness & the reason that some don't have windows is because it is cheaper to build the halls that way. The Jehovah's witnesses don't have a lot of money to build the Kingdom Halls most of it has to go for maitnence & upkeep.

Generally, a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is built without windows only in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship. Sadly, it seems that the questioner must be from an area with a reputation for bigotry and lawlessness.
Jehovah's Witnesses are proven to be true Christians based upon the Witnesses' preaching work and the anti-Witnesses' bigoted hatred against them.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

No clue babe! My Grama is one and the only thing I can think of is maybe they don't want outside distractions; cars, people, ect., to bother their prayer time. I am a christian and our church doesn't have windows either. It's like when you're in school and the teacher is talking and someone or thing passes by the window and you may become distracted by simple curiosty. Some churches know this and therefore try to keep worldly distractions from interrupting with the Lord's worship. We are only human and our nature is the same. We are curious and nosey beings. We just gotta see what's going on!

wow, some of the answerers here are very ignorant and need to get their facts straight. I don't think its a big conspiricy that the halls don't have windows, like others said, most churches don't have many or any at all. I think some of the answerers here need to learn tolerance and respect for other people's religions and beliefs. There is something wrong in all religions today, so you shouldn't say that one is better than the other when they all have problems.
P.S. To whynotask: That biblebeliever website has some very false information on it. If you did your own research before posting an incorrect website on here, you would realize that alot of that stuff on their was complete BS. Thanks for the effort F-----

Some do, some don't. I used to study with the JWs for 6 years, Im not a JW but I can assure you there isn't anything freaky going on inside. They dont put a lot of architectual interest in their halls like other religions do for their churches, synagogues, mosques etc... sometimes its just cheaper to make a building without windows but sometimes the building has them, maybe to cut down on heating or cooling bills.

The ones I have been to do have windows, but maybe the newer ones don't. Maybe it's because of the the hatred they sometimes experience. Maybe it is for privacy. Maybe it is to keep the congregation from becoming distracted by what is happening outside. I'm not sure, honestly. If you haven't already noticed, most churches have few windows, or windows of stained glass so you can neither see in or out.

not all kingdom halls have windows. it is cheaper to build. my kingdom hall that I go to does have windows. many kingdom halls do have windows. they are plain windows, not the fancy ones that churches have. we are not doing anything inside except listening to talks that came from Jehovah God. the doors are always always open and anyone can come into the kingdom hall and see what is going on. we are not hiding anything. we are a worldwide family, we are not a cult or robots or brainwashed like people keep saying. we worship Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. we live in our own homes and pay bills just like you do. a cult lives in one state. we are in 235 lands and all worship the one true God and Father Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ. instead of worrying why we don't have windows on the kingdom halls, why don't you get to know what Jehovah Witnesses are all about. www.watchtower.org

The older buildings had windows, newer ones don't. Go to a meeting and see for yourself. But it was changed pretty much due to vandalism. If no windows, then nothing to throw bricks through.

Dear Sarah:
I too have been to a number of their halls.
The ones I've seen have windows ....sometimes lotsa windows, sometimes on a minor scale.
Have you considered local building codes?
